Apparently, Dick Bennett of American Research Group, of all people, had the chutzpah (Hi Harold!) to call out (http://americanresearchgroup.com/archives/?p=21) the person behind FiveThirtyEight.com for his predictions. One of us, who's good at web designing, should make a site that looks like it's one of a legit polling outfit. Then, we should start making up numbers. Completely out of the blue. Just something that looks plausible. Then we write up fancy press releases and send them out to blogs and media outlets, wait for some lazy story writer to pick it up, and then it begins to spread. We'd probably get found out after a few weeks, but we'd get a kick out of it for a while. We could also then see if we get our made up numbers more accurate than actual polling outfits (looking at you PPP, ARG and Zogby).
