Title: 2008 Election!
Post by: Ronald Reagan on September 07, 2004, 06:44:22 PM
This is the final product of my two primaries.  John Edwards picked Barack Obama for his views.  John McCain chose Jeb Bush for his popularity in Florida, a possible toss-up.  The rest are third parties.  There is no Reform party because as of August 11, 2004 it appears that whatever remains of this shell of a party is over as the national Reform Party treasurer, William D. Chapman Sr, informed Federal Election Commission officials the party had only $18.18 left and should be ended.

Not that I like McCain, but it'd have to be McCain/Bush

I like McCain, but I would never vote for any Bush in any election. I like both Edwards and Obama, and since it would be my first election of eligability, I would vote for Edwards/Obama.

I would definatly vote McCain!

Jeb might hurt his chances though, I don't think people would like another Bush in the White House in such a short period of time.

Edwards-Obama

I do like McCain, but seeing another Bush on the ticket, I couldn't vote for him.

I actually think Edwards and Obama could very well win nationally, McCain wouldn't be that popular in southern states like AR and NC. Edwards-Obama could run a populist campaign and do very well in the midwest and south, McCain could very well get New Hampshire and Maine though.

My Map:

()

Edwards-Obama - 270
McCain-Bush - 268

California would be close here, so would Minnesota and Connecticut.

haha, you're dreaming man.  McCain would clean house, maybe not as much as Reagan but it wouldn't be split like Bush/Gore.

Hell, I'd even vote for McCain....especially vs. Hillary.

That's odd. This new RReagan4EVER's is -5984 years old (according to his profile) I think someone is playing games with us...

He should just put N/A or leave it blank if he doesn't want to share.

That's not the point. Don't you think it's alittle weird that he's RReagan4EVER #2 and happens to live in the same town as RReagan4EVER? I'm guessing this person knows the original RReagan but as long as he doesn't cause trouble on the forum, it should be fine.

Yes, until something strange happens with it, lets just leave it be.

I guess McCain/Bush, but I prefere Pataki/Santorum or Pataki/Talent or Pataki/Dole.

In case you can't tell, I support Pataki... for now.

Reverse those tickets and it's fine with me!

(I think Talent would make a great VP choice for whoever the GOP nominee is in 2008. He's one of my favorite Senators.)

I think some people were born to either run or serve as Vice President. These are men who, though they have no interst in being the #1 man are stuck being #2 because they were a "compromise."

I often fear that this shall be my fate.  :)

What do you have against Pataki?

Campagna/Oliver

I'm suprised that they only have 6% especially how well Badnarik is doing in other polls. Maybe people just don't know anything about these two (Browne was better than Oliver though).

I don't like any of these options....given them I would reluctantly vote McCain/Bush.

Hey All:

I would pick Edwards-Obama out of this list.
But I would not dismiss the possibility of Chuck Hagel as a major candidate for the Republicans and Chuck Schumer or Eliot Spitzer for the Democrats.
