I know the political compass and I have taken the test quite a few times. One of the best out their.

Ya but he said the Independence Party Candidates are Moderates and he said the Centrist Party candidates are Centrist. I'm asking him what is the difference? Wouldn't they just be considered the same since Moderate and Centrist are synonyms?

Akno21 what do you mean by Moderate as opposed to Centrist? Whats the difference?

I would suggest that you make a website. As a new person to the forums a website is much easier to navigate than a forum. A good website for building a website is:
www.freewebs.com

What is this with Southern Republican and Republican? Whats up with that? Are they separate parties or are they the same party?

How about the south or the Midwest?
11057  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Election What-ifs? / Re: Jeffords/Frist (R) vs. Miller/Kennedy (D) on: October 20, 2004, 07:23:33 pm
I think I would vote Third Party for this race. I like Frist and Miller. Maybe we could put them together and make some sort of Unity Coalition. Lesser of two evils though would be the Dems. Zell is great and VP doesn't do much anyway. Both of those combos though would have a tough time. Miller and Kennedy would be fighting all the time as would Jeffords and Frist. The VP and President would never get along. Still like my Unity Coalition thing though.

Let see I got two options: Stay in Pennsylvania and help the embattled Republicans their or go to the West or South and have it, rather, easy.

About Dean last week in Time they had an essay by this Liberal who said that he wished they had chose Dean. He was lamenting that Dean would have been solid on the issues and would have posed a great threat to Bush. I was laughing throughout the entire article it was so rediculous.

Thank you. I did see that 10 day rule when looking through the Constitution. I just didn't know when it was. Well all the better to learn how things operate.

Also, Can you register wherever you want or do you have to register in the State where you live?
11061  Election Archive / 2004 U.S. Presidential Election / Re: Kerry will contest election even if Bush wins by comfortable margin on: October 20, 2004, 07:10:51 pm
Thats pure BS. Contesting an election when it isn't even close is just being a bad loser. If you lose bow out gracefully and concede to the winner. Democracy and elections can't work without cooperation.
11062  Election Archive / 2004 U.S. Presidential Election Polls / Re: Polls on: October 20, 2004, 07:08:57 pm
I find Rasmussen polls to be the most fair and the most accurate. They also do EV calculations and their site is very informative.
11063  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / U.S. Presidential Election Results / Re: Gov. Bush: I'm not going to run for president in 2008 on: October 20, 2004, 07:06:08 pm
I'm a strong supporter of President Bush but I have to say that another Bush on the ballot would be overload. People would definitly think Nepotism and Elitism and a mix of the creation of almost an Aristocracy. People wont vote for another Bush. Their were more Adams but they never became President. If Jeb wanted to run he should have ran before his brother got the chance.
11064  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / U.S. Presidential Election Results / Re: Best 20th century president on: October 20, 2004, 07:03:02 pm
I'm not going to list them since it would take too long. More time than I have. So I think at the top of my list would be Ronald Reagan and Teddy Rooseavelt.
11065  Other Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Congressional Elections / Re: A Couple of PA Senate Race Predictions. on: October 20, 2004, 06:53:37 pm
My Prediction is that as long as Clymer is in the race Specter will not get above 53% of the vote. In saying that I still think that Hoeffel has no chance. He is a week candidate for the Dems plus Specter is moderate enough that he draws both Dems and Republicans to vote for him. Clymer will get around 10% my personal feeling is that he will get around 11-12% actually.

On a side note I was listening to a talk radio personality in Pittsburgh, Quinn and Rose in the Morning on 104.7, and Quinn told all his listeners in PA to go and vote Clymer. Not that it'll affect the vote much but it is an intresting side note.
11066  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Election What-ifs? / Re: Who from the other party would you make President on: October 20, 2004, 06:42:57 pm
Democrats that I would like to have as President. Well Zell Miller but I think you already said Republicans can't say him so I would go with either Joe Lieberman or Joe Biden. Not great choices in my mind but they would be exceptable to me.
11067  General Discussion / Alternative History / Re: SUPERIMPERIALIST AMERICA ERA TWO: Two Paths on: October 20, 2004, 06:40:09 pm
I have to say that this is the best Alternate History timeline that I have read. It is well done and accurate. Your incorporation of Real World leaders into this alternate timeline is also nice and gives it a good base to work off of. The one thing that I have to say is that Electoral counts are off. I think that if the United States did grow that larger than Electoral votes would be given out differently. The EV's of the actual 50 states are the same but when you have states that have 50 or 60 EVs then you know that you will have to change the way the EVs are destributed in the actual United States. I don't know maybe I'm crazy. Well anyway very nicely done and continue the good work.

Hi, I'm new to the Atlas Fantasy Elections and would like someone to explain things to me before I start to dive in. I say that their is a presidential election coming up. When is that and who are the candidates?  Can you point me toward a good thread that would explain this to me? I have read through the headquarters thread but still need more info. If anyone can give me the current info on whats going on that would be lots of help. Thanks.
