Ya but he said the Independence Party Candidates are Moderates and he said the Centrist Party candidates are Centrist. I'm asking him what is the difference? Wouldn't they just be considered the same since Moderate and Centrist are synonyms?

Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Election What-ifs? / Re: Jeffords/Frist (R) vs. Miller/Kennedy (D)

I think I would vote Third Party for this race. I like Frist and Miller. Maybe we could put them together and make some sort of Unity Coalition. Lesser of two evils though would be the Dems. Zell is great and VP doesn't do much anyway. Both of those combos though would have a tough time. Miller and Kennedy would be fighting all the time as would Jeffords and Frist. The VP and President would never get along. Still like my Unity Coalition thing though.

Thank you. I did see that 10 day rule when looking through the Constitution. I just didn't know when it was. Well all the better to learn how things operate.
Also, Can you register wherever you want or do you have to register in the State where you live?

My Prediction is that as long as Clymer is in the race Specter will not get above 53% of the vote. In saying that I still think that Hoeffel has no chance. He is a week candidate for the Dems plus Specter is moderate enough that he draws both Dems and Republicans to vote for him. Clymer will get around 10% my personal feeling is that he will get around 11-12% actually.
On a side note I was listening to a talk radio personality in Pittsburgh, Quinn and Rose in the Morning on 104.7, and Quinn told all his listeners in PA to go and vote Clymer. Not that it'll affect the vote much but it is an intresting side note.

I have to say that this is the best Alternate History timeline that I have read. It is well done and accurate. Your incorporation of Real World leaders into this alternate timeline is also nice and gives it a good base to work off of. The one thing that I have to say is that Electoral counts are off. I think that if the United States did grow that larger than Electoral votes would be given out differently. The EV's of the actual 50 states are the same but when you have states that have 50 or 60 EVs then you know that you will have to change the way the EVs are destributed in the actual United States. I don't know maybe I'm crazy. Well anyway very nicely done and continue the good work.

Hi, I'm new to the Atlas Fantasy Elections and would like someone to explain things to me before I start to dive in. I say that their is a presidential election coming up. When is that and who are the candidates? Can you point me toward a good thread that would explain this to me? I have read through the headquarters thread but still need more info. If anyone can give me the current info on whats going on that would be lots of help. Thanks.
