It would be interesting to have a president run for office after being president. Only John Q Adams, John Tyler and Andrew Johnson held elective office after being president. According to wikipedia Andrew Johnson ran for Senate while president. So basically no one has done it in like 150 years.

also some of the state representatives that would go on to congress or beyond are Dave Camp, Tim Walberg, Bart Stupek and Debbie Stabenow. There could be more when I do the detail maps. I should have been doing this for all the maps.

state house 1982-1990 starting with 1982. I have decided to do it this way. Also the districts in the northern lower peninsula that are labeled 18 and 19, when everyone else are in the high 90's and low 100's, are correct even though they are way out of place.

detailed maps to come.

133  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: What have you eaten for dinner? on: February 24, 2013, 06:08:20 pm
having Tilapia tonight, which I like a lot. Now the Tilapia I'm having is farm raised from China. This seems like it might not be the best fish to eat, but I have been eating this fish for a few years though. Any thoughts. I think I will try to get wild caught not from China next time. Surely it has to be somewhat safe to be allowed to be sold here right. I thought this might be a good place to post this instead of making a new thread.

Here is Oakland county in detail. Again I did it starting in 2002 and going up to 2010 instead of the other way. I think I will do it that way for the whole 2002-10 maps. I have labeled the maps quite well so you should be able to tell.

Only one district changes the Republicans held up much better in Oakland than wayne. The 39th district which switched in 06 but not back in 10 is part West Bloomfield and is where lots of Blacks have moved.

An inner city district went Republican in 2006 of all years?

no sorry the first map in the upper left corner is 2002 and it goes from there up to 2010. It is reverse of what I did in the other maps because I accidentally made the wayne county map wrong. So the district switched from Republican to Democrat in 2006, if I understand you right. Also that district really isn't inner city, it is suburban.
