They need to get Alec Baldwin to go instead.

I'm sure the wife beater and horrible child abusing father volunteered.
2  General Politics / U.S. General Discussion / Re: How many members of Congress will boycott Trump's speech? on: Today at 11:50:33 am
3 days away........you would think there would be news of someone stating they weren't attending.  Hmm.

His address to a joint session of Congress, February 28th

Perhaps he'll have his Presidential Guard ban member of Congress he doesn't like from the hall?

I'll send him my list of ones I wouldn't mind seeing banned.  Smiley

5  General Discussion / Constitution and Law / Re: Question About Jury Nullifications on: February 24, 2017, 03:55:28 pm
Haven't there been enough cases where judges and attorneys thought nullification took place and nothing has happened afterward?  I'm quite sure.  I don't know if there's case law striking down any appeals but I'm sure some attorney(s) have tried to appeal before.

Tough one, to be honest.

Meh.
8  General Politics / U.S. General Discussion / Re: CNN, NYT and other outlets blocked from attending White House media briefing on: February 24, 2017, 03:17:56 pm
It's actually a press gaggle, which is an informal (yet on the record) gathering, un-televised.  If they're banned from the full fledged briefing I'd strongly disagree with the White House.

They want to #MAGA?

In your particular case zero would be the most desirable number.

But we certainly want him to be under this Atlas record:

Hey, going down from 40 to 16 was not easy Smiley

You were always my favorite spammer, Kal.  Wink

The rate actually levels off if, as many do, including me, take an extended period of time away from the Atlas.  I was MIA for over a year, which probably helped keep my post per day count down.  Smiley

17  General Politics / U.S. General Discussion / Re: Alan Colmes dead at 66 on: February 24, 2017, 11:12:53 am
Colmes was such a good liberal that he decided to expire early to do his part to save Social Security.

Really?

Damn, Satander, that's as low as it goes, bro.  SAD!

I really do hope he leaves most of the speech to his speech writers.  His penchant for off the cuff remarks won't play well anywhere.

You'd rather he read a prepared speech off a teleprompter?

I guess he has to work hard to find new ways to torture his cultists for his own twisted pleasure.

Or maybe he's just a deranged and idiotic crook. Hard to say for sure.

I never said teleprompter, I was discussing composing the speech, not delivering it.
Memorizing a speech that long would be a monumental task, especially if he can't speak off the cuff.

Didn't he give his inaugural off of papers in front of him?

Depressing. He actually used to make Hannity and Colmes somewhat watchable.
24  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Adam Ruins Everything on: February 23, 2017, 02:23:48 pm
I thought you were about to complain about Adam Griffin.
I also thought this.  I was ready to get out my markers and tagboard to make pro-Adam signs for the protest.
