Someone should also fill him in on the Yates and JSojourner incidents. I think he's already briefed on the BushOklahoma saga.
I heard about all 3. They were hilarious. Haven't heard about CaDan, though.

Neither. The 19th century was more libertarian than now, yet due to cultural decay combined with multiple long wars to justify larger and larger states we ended up with our current model of social democracy being the dominant ideological current. Be glad that it wasn't worse. After all, imagine if it had been national socialism or communism that won out in the 20th century.
Trying to implement libertarianism at this point wouldn't work. If you'd like a polity more libertarian in practice than current western nations, be prepared to favor reactionary notions such as limiting or abolishing the universal franchise.

Yeah, the thing is that "discussion" doesn't mean being subjected to social Darwinist rhetoric on health care every time the topic of discussion is even vaguely related.
It's kind of annoying that whenever the topic of UHC comes up everybody seems convinced anyone who doesn't believe in its holy splendor is a total idiot. I have no idea what you mean by "social Darwinist rhetoric." I do believe mankind evolve from an ape, but I don't remember placing emphasis on that or even noting it anywhere on the forum except here now. He's referring to your not supporting UHC.

(1) Secular anti-democratic reactionary. I'm registered as a democrat because I'm too lazy to change my registration. (2) RT, Al Jazeera, other online sources. Some blogs. (3) Agnostic (4) No, but I'd like to.
Do any of these "stick out" in terms of your political views? (i.e. a conservative Republican who reads the NYT; a liberal Democrat who owns a gun and attends church every week).
Yes. I'm non-white and not left-wing. Also, I'm non-religious and not lefty, since that also seems to be common.

Which of my timelines? I do post AH stuff, but it's mainly in the form of world descriptions with some maps these days and no longer timelines.
Looking at your views.... Outside of your foreign policy, your anti-tobacco stance and your being overly pro-immigration you seem relatively reasonable. If anything, you strike me as a secular law and order conservative. pity it's more neo than paleo.
Something about a realistic version of the Drakaverse. It was a while ago, I don't quite recall. Yeah, you seem to have gotten the measure of my political views quite accurately. Realistic Draka? That was a LONG time ago that I've done anything with the draka. If you like, I could PM you a link to where I post my stuff.

If Romney's campaign is limp and the economy continues to slowly chug along without major troubles that map would be a reasonable guess. The only things I'd change would be marking most states with the 40% shade.
Of course, this raises the question: What are the likely shifts in congress with a narrow dem win?
