1  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Atlas Fantasy Elections / Re: Atlas Forum Movement: Restore Atlasia to the Atlas Forum on: November 17, 2016, 01:41:03 pm
People should just vote to re-elect Andrew/Andrew for President and Vice President, and things would remain good and well.

But yeah.. y'all got a lot of offices
2  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Has any Atlas users held public office? on: September 30, 2016, 01:16:23 pm
I'm pretty sure AndrewTX (formerly known as AndrewCT) hold some local office.

Yes, sadly it's true.. at one point I held a small piece of power for 6 years.. Than I regained my sanity and left that life behind to follow my dream.. Interpretive Dancer to the Stars.

Iowa, no doubt
4  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: IF You ran for congress, where would you run and why? on: September 23, 2016, 10:12:28 am
I dunno, would be difficult to find somewhere that an openly gay Republican could win. I'd imagine my best markets would be FL 27th, maybe my home district of CT 04TH.

Sadly, too many, and not of the ones I want lol. Plan is to sell the truck and Lexus in a year, and get either a new 300, or a 5 series.

2003 Lexus GX470
2008 GMC Sierra
2012 Honda Civic EX

The most massive FF that has ever graced this Earth. I had the pleasure of knowing him when I was younger, since he was a customer in my moms store back in Connecticut. When I first met him it was right after Gilda passed, and I was young enough that I only knew him as Willy Wonka, so when I saw him I kept calling him Mr. Wonka, and it made him smile. Last time I saw him was probably 8-9 years ago, and I still referred to him as such.

You have to at least be 13 to join this site.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

BTW, I think I'm going to be 33 in a few days.. I'm nearing the range of getting too old for this s#@t
10  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Which job would you rather have? on: January 01, 2016, 07:05:44 pm
I'd pick Governor, easily. Senator seems as if it can be a pretty cushy job... but in reality I'd want to do something. In the Senate, I have to fight with 99 other people to gain seniority, and to try and get anything accomplished. If I'm a Governor, I have the loudest voice in the State.. I feel like that's where I can actually make a difference.
11  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Which word do you typically use for carbonated soft drinks? on: January 01, 2016, 07:02:34 pm
I always called it soda. It's weird down here to hear people calling it a  "coke" down here, but it doesn't really effect me... I drink soda maybe 2 to 3 times a year. If I'm not getting water with my meal, it's usually an unsweet tea.

13  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Favourite Christmas Songs? on: December 25, 2015, 09:12:42 am
How did nobody put up "I'll be home for Christmas" by Bing Crosby. I've always liked that one, but it's meant more once I moved far from home, and also when my brother and some friends were deployed.
14  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: How many messages do you have in your Atlas inbox? on: December 24, 2015, 02:51:04 pm
Like 1400. Would have been 5k plus, but I used to delete each one I got. I think like 4 or 5 years ago someone got sand in they vajayjay and wanted us to delete messages to save space.

As long as its in my favorite trashy area of Oak Island, I'm cool with it.
16  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Would you rather live in Bridgeport, Connecticut or Baghdad? on: December 24, 2015, 09:18:06 am
Baghdad..... No second thoughts on it. Bridgeport is such a retched city.

Have you ever been there? Or just guessing based off of a wikipedia article?

Andrew is from CT.  I trust his viewpoint.

This is correct. As a former Fairfield county resident, I can safely say that city blows... And in was just in Bridgeport in September. I almost got robbed twice in that God forbidden city. The only thing it has going for it is the Merritt Canteen. That's it.

How many times a year do you think you'd get mugged (or worse) in Baghdad ?

I'm a white, gay male... so I'd imagine I would get mugged less in Baghdad.

Don't put that to the test

Whatever... since apparently I'm not allowed to make my own decisions that I base off of a crappy city that I've been to and have had issues with several times, I'll take the advise of people who have most likely never been to this hellhole.

I'll change it to Bridgeport. Hopefully this is an acceptable answer

make whatever choice you'd llike. i'm just sayiing I've known several people who were deployed lived in Baghdad , and any one of them would've chosen Bridgeport, or even East St. Louis,  in a heartbeat.

I get it: Bridgeport is a post-industrial wasteland. Maybe i'm taking this poll too seriously or litterally, but it's not an actual war zone.

My brother was in Baghdad too, he probably wouldn't have chosen Bridgeport.  I like getting you fiesty :-) lol

Ever been to the Black Rock hood in Bridgeport? It doesn't seem so horrible, and will soon have a metro station to NYC. In any event, would you really rather live in Bagdad than Blackrock?

Of course I have.  When I worked for Congressman Shays, I went there all the time when we had meetings at his house. It's a nice area, but it's a small section of the city. For the nearly 30 year of living around that city, and having to deal with work, and going into that city for other things, I've grown to hate it with a passion.

Just always drive west from Black Rock to do your shopping and recreating and so forth, and it will be all good. Heck I have a rough block right in back of me. It's fine. I just don't make a habit of walking it at night alone.

Meh, I still hate Bridgeport, and hope I never have to go to that horrible city again.

Mr. Governor, I would like to just take this moment to barge into you office unexpected. Before your security team shows up to kick me out, I'd like to just quickly demand that a large monument be constructed of me. Although I no longer live in the cold tundra of the Northeast, I believe that I still hold the title of longest serving Northeast Governor, and the pension checks just aren't cutting it anymore.

Thank you!

Something like this

Exactly like that
21  Forum Community / Forum Community / Re: Where exactly were you born, and what was/is interesting about living there? on: December 17, 2015, 04:15:39 pm
I was born in Norwalk, CT.  One thing of interest with it, is that it is where Nathan Hale departed before heading to NYC, and being captured.
