In New Hampshire, you can see that McCain did very well across the state, but especially inland and mountainous areas. Romney narrowly beat out McCain in the more populous southeast.

It should be noted that, unlike the pattern in most states, New Hampshire's more rural areas have more t tended in the past few elections to vote more Democrat than Republican in Presidential races. (see maps here - Blue for Republican, Red for Democrat) Nevertheless, in these rural counties southern conservative Mike Huckabee did better than he did in the southeastern areas, and in Coos County he got almost as many votes as Romney.

"Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard. . . But freedom to differ is not limited to things that do not matter much. That would be a mere shadow of freedom. The test of its substance is the right to differ as to things that touch the heart of the existing order."

I just saw your Mike Castle banner from 2010.  Did you support him?  I did, and I was angry when the ideological purity hacks in the Tea Party movement nominated O'Donnell, only to have her lose what otherwise would have been a sure seat.
