Tim Foster, President of Colorado Mesa University is considering. He was a big republican icon in the 90s in the legislature. I watched a video of him speaking on education online, he's a decent speaker, but clearly Colorado Mesa is underwhelming academically when the greatest recent innovation at the campus is the use of clickers so faculty can see where students are in real time...welcome to 10 years ago...

I hope he does, then we can actually save the SOS seat and we'll lose to Hickenlooper anyway. The bench is incredibly weak.

I once had a nice 15 minute conversation with a very old lady who said she usually doesn't take political calls, but wanted someone to talk to. And mistook a former Governor's stance on euthanasia as him saying "all you old people, have to die, so there are jobs for the young people". Also on my first day as an intern in 2010 a women just cussed for 15 seconds non stop about getting phone calls and then hung up (it was only August...). Someone thought I was from the county courts and she thought her son was arrested or dead and had a panic attack. Another guy yelled at me for a few minutes saying I was a socialist (while working for a very tea party slate of candidates) and then at the end said, you're doing a good job keep it up and hung up.

14  Other Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Gubernatorial/Statewide Elections / Re: What are the best and worst organised state parties in the country? on: April 24, 2013, 02:11:08 pm
CO Republicans are horrendous but its a step up from previous years (that's saying absolutely nothing).

CO Dems are solid, probably not the best and its hard to truly test them when they're up against nothing, but they are not a mess that's for sure.

Thanks tmth!

And No Scott, I've never heard of its existence and I live right outside Denver. But I don't suppose a theology school would be large anyway.

I am embarrassed for South Carolina republicans to have nominated this man. Losing this district is disgraceful.
17  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / 2016 U.S. Presidential Election / Re: A cross party ticket on: April 20, 2013, 09:57:50 pm
Christie/Cuomo doesn't seem far-fetched.

This ticket could actually work...granted whoever was on bottom would have no future career barring an independent run. Granted the ticket probably would ensure a third party coming from the right or left anyway.

Norton was considered very competitive in 2010, IIRC.  I guess her time has passed.

Norton is a robot Romney type.

49% don't have an opinion of her and with those who do, she's at 20/32.

Actually, going back to March 2010, she was at a similar 25/35 spread but was tying Bennet. I think any perceptions of her strength have more to do with 2010 being a good Republican year as opposed to her merits as a candidate.

She was probably tying Bennet because it was a good Republican year, and because Bennet himself is a massive robot.

^ This could not be more perfectly said.

22  Other Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Gubernatorial/Statewide Elections / Re: CO 2014 on: April 20, 2013, 01:09:31 pm
Well Hickenloopers disapprovals have doubled and Beauprez is within 7 without half the state knowing who he is and the rest remembering him only as "Both Ways Bob" we are actually in much better shape than I that. I think he's the only one who can win state wide and its an uphill battle.
