It's a wild card pick, but I could see it happening.  He's very well-respected, younger than McCain and knowledgeable on issues.  He was mentioned as a possible running mate for Kerry in 2004.

This would be about the only way where I would consider not voting for McCain.

By the way, if it hasn't been said yet, I can almost guarantee you'll hear it somewhere else before you get the official text.

I think it'll be Bayh, but just to be different I'll register Wes Clark as my official opinion.

I don't think Gerlach should do anything besides run for PA-6, I can't really see him having that much appeal statewide. 

His ideology would be just fine.

I guess he does parallel Ridge a bit, but 1994 will probably be a much better year for the GOP than 2010 was and Gerlach can barely hold onto his house seat whereas Ridge did quite well for himself there, if memory serves.

That's good news -- McCain needs someone a lot more interesting (which Romney might have been if he didn't run for President)

If his district gets badly gerrymandered in 2010, I think it might be best for him to retire gracefully and go into the private sector.  It's a shame to lose such a good politician, but there's not much he can do about it and I'm glad he's lasted this long.

Bob Barr--he's somewhat of a famous figure and Nader is waay old news.  I'll say 0.5%-0.2%

I'd have a lot of trouble voting for any ticket with Romney on it.  He is quite the horrible person.

I'll say about 40%.  I don't think Bayh would be that bad of a pick, he's safe and doesn't destroy foreign policy credentials.  Overall, I think Blanche Lincoln would be the best choice, I don't know why she's never been mentioned at all.

I would be more likely to vote Democratic, but still vote for McCain.

This is a great move, especially since the teachers would be highly screened beforehand.

Gotta say Virginia--it seems like it'll go right down to the wire.  New Mexico may be determined by less votes though.
