I'm predicting that by 2016 the electoral college will be worth like 650+

So... fifty-six new states???

On an unrelated note, your sig is utterly stupid and fallacious in a way that even a 8-year-old kid could perceive.

Er... has the sig changed since this was posted?

If not, do you believe that the actual unemployment rate presented by the chart is "utterly stupid and fallacious," or that the administration's predictions as to the unemployment rate with and without the stimulus were "utterly stupid and fallacious?" Or do you believe that it is "utterly stupid and fallacious" to present this material in the same graph?

Would you mind updating this chart to include final vote tallies?

In 2016, Schiefer will be 80.

*yawn*

One thing I will say - in 2016, Schiefer needs to moderate every debate. He has done far better than any of the other moderators. Not even close.

It's really not hard to lose some weight when you have that much to lose. You don't have to be able to run 5 miles - a slight change in diet goes a long way. I feel very little sympathy.

Only the genetically trim can make this sort of statement.

Roll Eyes Research on the "fat gene," found that its effects were easily surmountable. We have a fat population due to a variety of reasons, with the primary driver being subsidized corn. Cut the soda, the fast food, the butter, and start working out and the pounds will drop like the Dow on Black Tuesday.

We live in a society that things obesity is genetic and that homosexuality is a choice. It's time to turn that tragic conventional wisdom around.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that you want to make it easier to smoke marijuana and harder to smoke tobacco, and somehow believe that this is philosophically consistent.

She did horribly.

Hopefully the Obama makes sure that Libya clip is played over and over again for the next few weeks.

Thing is, I've been following the conservative media, and Republicans have the exact opposite interpretation.

Pour example:

Romney: I believe that we're all children of the same G-d.

Yes he does! Literally!

This just in:  The winner of the debate is:  CANDY CROWLEY....

It's really not. She's very annoying.

What did Obama say? "I don't think so, Ken?"
14  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: The Official 2nd Presidential Debate Thread on: October 16, 2012, 08:38:59 pm
Romney fumble: "Of course my math adds up" while ignoring the question.

No, that was the best possible answer. It was a trick question. Never answer "but what if your basic political philosophy is wrong?"
15  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: The Official 2nd Presidential Debate Thread on: October 16, 2012, 08:22:46 pm
Did Obama just say that if Romney crashed the economy, it would lower gas prices?
16  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: The Official 2nd Presidential Debate Thread on: October 16, 2012, 08:21:14 pm
That's the Romney I want to see!

This thread has made me grateful for the existence of the Atlas chatroom for the first time in its existence. What in the hell debate were half of you people watching.

Er... which half?

For the record, I always enjoy the Atlas chatroom on debates.

...wait, there's an atlas chatroom? Where?

Oh, meant the forum.

Yeah, second half is a slight Romney win.

My family member just said something bad about Obama, even though he once liked Obama!
25  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: 1st Presidential Debate Live Commentary Thread on: October 03, 2012, 08:54:10 pm
Hahaha, Romney thinks he has to win the debate... over Lehrer. Poor moderator.

Yeah, kind of seems like Obama is the pleasant moderator above the fray in the Romney-Lehrer debate.
