1  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Atlas Fantasy Elections / Statement from NVGonzalez on recall on: May 18, 2013, 10:48:22 pm
It has come to my attention that I am subject to a recall election due to inactivity. While I know some Councillors have been inactive through the session it is my responsibility to make sure they vote and I take full responsibility in this failure to work. I understand the anger of the citizens of the Pacific and if recalled I will respect the decision of the citizens and be fully supportive. However in order for this to not happen again I have proposed legislation that will hold everyone accountable including myself to subject inactive members to recalls or expulsions or me or other governors to impeachment or recalls. Also if spared I will continue to pursue a budget for the Pacific that will give an economy a full boost to get it fully going. I apologize for what has been going on and I'll work to make this right whether I stay or not. Inactivity is inexcusable and must be addressed in the Pacific and all around Atlasia

I understand that right now I am subject to a recall. Even if recalled I will protect the Pacific to make sure this does not happen again.

The Prevention of Inactivity Act

Markey is no Coakley and I expect him to the same way Sanford did. Well without the scandals of course.

Wolfentoad is the reason why I got into Atlasia and why I am where I am at right now. I was shocked to find out what happened and it was a huge shame. I'll go with Spamage on this one.

Yeah, sadly this is further proof that the successful 50 state strategy is dead.
13  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Regional Governments / Re: Pacific Council: Recreational Tax Act on: May 17, 2013, 12:32:35 am
18. But I was wondering if I could make a GST :/

It won't be flat but it will be a Sales Tax anyway....

Yeah there shouldn't be a problem with that. The GST and this will be a part of our budget along with other things passed before this session. This GST will address other goods that are not addressed in other legislation.
14  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Regional Governments / Re: Pacific Council: Recreational Tax Act on: May 15, 2013, 11:59:46 pm
I still wouldn't mind keeping the region tax. We could use the revenue from it though of course we got to lower it with the federal tax. Would you guys want the ages to be 18 or 21?

Probably never.
16  General Politics / U.S. General Discussion / Re: Will Obama be impeached? on: May 13, 2013, 05:23:03 am
They can try if they like but if they do even in a gerrymandered map as it is they will lose the house.
17  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Regional Governments / Re: Pacific Council: Recreational Tax Act on: May 13, 2013, 03:29:17 am
I think this bill needs to be replaced with a flat 10% GST on all items sold.

I agree and that is why we need a budget.

I think we can prepare finally prepare to propose that one big budget and include the GST tax in it. Just amend the bill to scrap the legal language since it is already taken care of it and then I can sign it and we can take care of the big boy.

18  General Politics / U.S. General Discussion / Re: McCain breaks out of 6 year HP slump with FF bill on: May 10, 2013, 07:10:04 pm
All of the things included in this proposal seem like shockingly good ideas, which means there's not a chance in hell this gets anywhere.
19  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Regional Governments / Re: The official 4th Pacific Legislation Introduction and Discussion thread on: May 10, 2013, 05:46:07 pm
Speaker could you put the bill to the floor please? Smiley
20  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Regional Governments / Re: The official 4th Pacific Legislation Introduction and Discussion thread on: May 09, 2013, 02:32:28 pm
I think we should have a flat GST rather than target specific undesirables.

I'm open to a GST. though of course I wanted to kill two birds with one stone with the Recreational Tax decriminalizing pot and gaining revenue from it. I can combine them both bills though considering our recovery state we should be careful how we propose it.
21  Atlas Fantasy Elections / Regional Governments / Re: The official 4th Pacific Legislation Introduction and Discussion thread on: May 09, 2013, 01:29:27 am
The state may use a little revenue and I want to help establish an efficient budget so...

The recreational tax act

1. This bill will establish that marijuana will be decriminalized and will have a 40% sales tax

2. The age limit for marijuana purchase will be 21

3. Alcoholic drinks will have a 30% sales tax.

4. Cigarettes will have a 50% sales tax

I do think everyone has a right to propose whatever they want. With that being said, well... eh...

I voted 4 but in reality I feel neutral towards him policy wise. I commend him for fighting for NJ first and telling the national GOP to go F themselves but I also don't like some of his policies.
