The site tilts more conservative then I expected but I would've thought the demographics made up of the site with it being very young would have more of a liberal turnout when it comes to Facebook users. The site becoming more skewer older then when it was a college site just for college students has made the site increasey more conservative.
78  General Politics / Political Debate / Re: should parents be allowed to terminate the baby if heavily disabled? on: January 08, 2012, 07:52:34 pm
Only if the baby is disabled in the sense he's got severe disability. If the baby was lot like Temple Grandin, then no I see no reason to give an abortion. Btw, this is coming from someone who is disabled but not the way you see down syndrome kids, I function like Temple Grandin.

I'll buck the trend and reccommend that you do your part to stop Dennis Kucinich being re-elected.

Why kick out one of the better congressmen that is fighting for the 99%? The prosperous Wall Streeters won't like his stand for the working class but the people who matter most will cast their vote for Kucinich.

Vote in the Republican primary. Congress needs Dennis Kucinich.

83  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Presidential Election Trends / South Park Republicans and the future of the Republican party on: January 07, 2012, 03:45:40 pm
"South Park Republican" was a term that first circulated in blogs and articles on the Internet between the years circa 2001 and 2002, used to describe what some modern commentators describe as a "new wave" or generation of young adults and teenagers who hold center-right political beliefs that are, in general, aligned with those portrayed in the popular American animated television program South Park.

The phrase was coined by commentator Andrew Sullivan in 2001. South Park co-creator Trey Parker is actually a registered member of the Libertarian Party. Fellow co-creator Matt Stone sums up their views with the comment "I hate conservatives, but I really ing hate liberals."

I don't know what scares me more, the fact that Arnold could be president in some alternative universe or that people in this one would vote for him....

91  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Presidential Election Trends / Re: How do certain sports fans vote? on: January 02, 2012, 09:59:08 pm
American Football is the sport which best reflects the competitive three-branches US government

ergo, our current situation

Offense (House)
Defense (President)
Specials (Senate)

I'd call it a swing-sport

LOL
92  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Alternative Elections / Re: Ronald Reagan (or Bush41) vs. Michael Jackson on: January 02, 2012, 09:56:36 pm
The race would be very very very close, I can tell you that. What I can't tell you is what the map would look like if this was an actually real presidential election.

97  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: What do you think was the best decade for popular music? on: January 01, 2012, 11:02:52 pm
Hey, where's the 2010s? It's been the best decade by far.

How? Well, let's look at some of the best albums:

  • Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV, Rebirth, and I Am Not a Human Being
  • Eminem's Recovery
  • Lupe Fiasco's Lasers
  • Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday
  • T.I.'s No Mercy
  • Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
  • Drake's Take Care and Thank Me Later
  • T-Pain's rEVOLVEr
  • Tech N9ne's All 6's and 7's

Must I go on? Yeah, the 2010s.

This is more like a list of why the 2010s have been the worst decade for music...

99  General Politics / Political Debate / Re: Obama White House Warming to Al-Jazeera on: January 01, 2012, 01:50:04 pm
Why not? We need credible new sources on TV for the average Joe to watch and Al Jazeera is just one of them.  I also would want RT, Iran Press TV, CCTV, BBC news, France 24 and pretty much all other international news to have their own channels on Comcast, DirectTV, and Verizon.
