None seem particularly interesting, only ever been to Providence and liked it very much.
2  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifying on: March 25, 2013, 02:25:54 pm
Tomorrow is Ireland vs. Austria.

The Irish can hope to win this, because in the last 10 years Austria has lost 16 away games, with 13 draws and only 4 wins.

The last "away" win for Austria was 2 years ago against Azerbaijan ... Tongue

Still, my prediction for this is a 2:2 draw.
Well for us, bizarrely, our away form is better than our home form. We haven't lost an away competitive match in a long time. At home though, we lose badly, like 6-1 to Germany. 1-1 for me. A must win for both teams. Win this and I'll start to feel good especially after drawing with team Zlatan.

Mega HP for me.

This is a distraction from the real issues. Believe it or not, knowing how old the earth is doesn't really come up that much in life.

Wow Azerbaijan winning in Northern Ireland.
7  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Favorite Census Region on: November 10, 2012, 06:37:27 pm
New England. All the other regions have no real collective identity, and there's something I found horrible about all the non-NE regions.
8  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Are you partaking in No Shave November? on: November 10, 2012, 06:34:51 pm
I hate sideburns and having a moustache. If I could I would participate in a lifelong don't shave around the chin event, but unfortunately there isn't one and I'd look weird.
9  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Opinion of New England -- By state on: November 10, 2012, 06:32:45 pm
Of all the places I've been to in the USA, I felt by far the most at home in New England.
10  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Women who actually look better in glasses on: October 28, 2012, 09:18:02 pm
None. I haven't seen a single woman who looks better in glasses. For me, unless there's some other overwhelming factor (like a girl being really big or small or bald or something), eyes are the most important factor in how good a woman looks, and they shouldn't be obscured.
11  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Who's Hotter: - News Contributors - Robin Meade or S.E. Cupp? on: October 28, 2012, 07:30:06 pm
Meade- No glasses and nicer hair. I don't think either of them look particularly good though.
12  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: 2012-2013 NFL General Discussion Thread. on: September 15, 2012, 11:12:17 am
Anyone feel for Cutler big time? I mean Thursday night was absolutely ridiculous. Sacked 7 times and it could've been more, Marshall dropping an end zone deep ball put in what Mayock called a perfect spot, and Bennett causing an interception by not coming to the ball. J'Marcus Webb, the human turnstile.
13  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifying on: September 07, 2012, 07:33:26 pm
Kazakhstan game was unbelievable. No shots on target until around the 70th minute, and that was a simple catch. the penalty was our first chance. They should've won like 3-1. Jammy jammy Ireland. We'll be murdered by the Germans/Swedes though. That performance was worse than when we nearly drew with San Marino.

Go Ravens.
15  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Ron Paul Supporters - Who are you supporting now? on: September 02, 2012, 08:07:40 am
Gary Johnson, no question. Tbh I was supporting him for the republican nomination too until it was clear he had no traction.
16  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Paul Ryan is America's Leo Varadkar on: September 01, 2012, 05:21:57 am
I'm a big Varadker fan, but I've grown to hate Ryan. Varadker is, at least in public, a far smarter person and a better speaker. One interesting this about this Varadker guy is that he criticised the media treatment of Ron Paul on radio this one time. Ryan seems far more hackish.
17  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Which RNC speeches did you actually bother watching? on: August 31, 2012, 06:21:23 pm
Of all the speeches I saw, Christie was by far the worst. He came off as arrogant, and did not capture any special moment like Barack Obama did in 2004 with his keynote.
It's funny, people who are more laid back about the whole convention and Mitt Romney and the election tend to have liked the speech, but the people who are obsessed with it hated it, and that's most of the media.
18  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Which RNC speeches did you actually bother watching? on: August 31, 2012, 04:26:57 pm
Christie's. Liked it.
19  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Official Republican National Convention 2012 Discussion Thread on: August 30, 2012, 12:59:15 pm
Is anyone else really annoyed how the media are acting like this is the Mitt Romney appreciation group convention and not the republican convention. It seems that any speech that doesn't fawn over him is treated like a failure because of it.
20  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Hardest video game you ever played? on: August 29, 2012, 01:37:58 pm

Being on PC makes shooters easier, IMO. Aiming with a mouse is easier than aiming with joystick - you get greater precision.
The physical shooting is much easier, but it's very hard to move around. Tough to get a feel with no controller Half-life is a game in which you often have to move around on very thin ledges and walk around in such a way that avoids detection by monsters.
21  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: 2012-2013 Club Soccer/Football Discussion Thread on: August 26, 2012, 06:08:09 pm
A family rivalry has developed after my Newcastle defeated my dad's beloved Chelsea Roll Eyes in London last year...now I'm back to being annoyed.
Why do we support the same teams? Anyway, 3 points from Spurs/Chelsea isn't bad.

Eric Moussambani.
23  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Who do you think will win the Presidential/Vice Presidential Debates? on: August 26, 2012, 08:17:32 am
Obama will beat Romney, but I can't see him landing any big punches. It will have little effect. Ryan-Biden should be great and I think Ryan will win it by a decent margin, but it's only a VP debate and won't have any effect etiher.
24  Election Archive / 2012 Elections / Re: Romney makes Birther joke on: August 25, 2012, 03:49:20 pm
bbbbbut I read on the Atlas Forum that only Democrats make petty attacks while Republicans stick to the real issues...
Which board were you reading? This is a heavily democratic board in which republicans are frequently villified as trolls and Obama is held in a much higher regard than Romney.
25  Forum Community / Off-topic Board / Re: Hardest video game you ever played? on: August 24, 2012, 06:23:53 pm
Portal is pretty easy imo. Half life (the first one) is by far the hardest game I've ever played. Had to restart it twice after getting stuck at a checkpoint with too little ammo/health. Being only on PC made it much harder.
