Kirsten Gillbrand announces for President!!!

America, I'm proud to announce I'm running for President today, because we need leadership that respects everyone's right to choose...man and woman, straight and non-traditional, black and white, We need a leadership that both projects might in foreign policy, while still believing in old-fashioned diplomacy. We need leadership that will support the downtrodden, and those above them equally. We need leadership that will recognize the threats that climate change provides, and do something about them. We need leadership that is both flexible and incorruptible. We need leadership that is willing to show that they are human, and we need leadership that respects that ALL lives matter, Black, Hispanic, Asian, and White.

I believe I am that leader, because I have fought for disparate groups in the Senate, I have shown flexibility and reliability, and I have shown I can speak for all sides of my party.

Four Democrats are challenging me. Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren and Bill Gates. Each brings their own strengths to the table...be it money, name recognition, or a fire to do right...but I have all of the above, and I believe if you give me a chance, I can be your President!

Staff announcements

Chief of Staff/National Campaign Manager- Yours truly

Pollster- The Gillibrand Campaign will generally hire Garin-Hart-Yang or PPP when polls are needed.

Co-Strategists- The Candidate and her family.

Spokesperson; See Senate Staff.

Schedule

July 1, 2015

Meet with Mark Smith, New Vienna, Iowa

Attend seminar at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Vienna, Iowa- On Race in the Bible-delivered by Father Michael Podjhasky

Meet with Bruce Braley in Maqouteka, Iowa

Tour Clover Ridge Place/Speak with local media, Maquoteka, Iowa

While Social Security and Medicare do need fixing, the solution isn't to scrap it, but to reform it. Right now Social Security for the elderly and for the physically and mentally impaired are under one roof. If the two offices were separated, one would assume we would have fewer logistical nightmares trying to determine eligibility. We also need to go completely paperless. We're in the 21st century...we don't need to have everything on a stack of paper, when a flash drive works just fine.

July 2, 2015

Meet with Bonnie Campbell in Clinton, Iowa

Meet Voters in Toronto, Iowa

Meet with Patty Judge in Olin, Iowa

July 3, 2015

Meet with John Lynch in Gilford, New Hampshire

Interview with Judith Miller for Newsmax Magazine

So, Senator with the pleasantries out of the way, what makes you believe you can defeat Hillary Clinton?

Hillary showed she had a soft underbelly seven years ago...that hasn't changed, and she's facing tougher competition than just President Obama.

Bold Words, but do believe you can do the job?

Sure. But if I can't, someone will...maybe Senator Warren, or Vice-President Biden]

Which Republican not running stands out to you most?

Probably Bobby Jindal, or Ben Carson, both of them because they sounded like they were certainly going to do it...

So, do you believe "boots on the ground" will be needed to stop ISIS?

Yes, but we should put pressure on our allies in the region. The Saudis, the Jordanians, to make sure it is their boots and not ours on the ground.

Finally, should you, by some miracle, be elected President, who do you think would be the best choice for Governor Cuomo to replace you with as Senator?

Well, I'd like to avoid the Caroline Kennedy fiasco...maybe Congresswoman Grace Meng, or New York City Public Advocate Leticia James would be my picks...but that's over a year away. A lot can happen.

Meet Voters at Rochester Fair Association, Rochester, New Hampshire

July 4, 2015

March in 4th of July Parade, Anita, Iowa

Meet and Greet, Cass County Community Center, Atlantic, Iowa

March in 4th of July Parade, Exira, Iowa

July 5, 2015

Meet Voters, Museum of Danish America, Elk Horn, Iowa

Meet and Greet, Neola Area Community Center, Neola, Iowa

Tour Burgess Health Center/Speech to local media, Onawa, Iowa

Republicans say they want to "repeal and replace" Obamacare. They are speaking a pack of lies, wishing to take health care back to medieval times where doctors could do whatever they wanted to you, and you paid the bill!!!

Meet Voters in Schleswig, Iowa

July 6, 2015

Meet Voters in Deloit, Iowa

Meet Voters in Galva, Iowa

Meet Voters in Meriden, Iowa

Speech at FireIce Firearms, Cherokee, Iowa

I believe that our meant exactly what they said when they stated that a "well regulated militia" had the right to bear firearms. That's not we have today... that aside, if you don't do anything stupid with your gun, and follow basic gun safety rules...which much of the population can't seem to follow... there's no reason for anyone's low -capacity weapons to be taken away. AK-47's Bazooka's, etc... those are much different stories, and are very different types of weapons than your average gun or rifle.

July 7, 2015

Meet Voters at Grace Lutheran Church, Primghar, Iowa

Meet Voters in Calumet, Iowa

Meet Voters in Ringsted, Iowa

Sit in on Summer Classes at Buena Vista University (Political Science and Mathematics majors)/meet with students.

Gillibrand statement on the recent exits.

We at the Gillibrand campaign extend a hope for a speedy recovery to both Frank Fiorina and and Secretary Clinton.  Both have played great roles in American history for many years now, and it is my hope that they continue to do so.

We also condemn in the strongest terms, the right-wing fearmongering practiced by Rush Limbaugh against people like Hillary. It has no place in this campaign, especially when talking about someone's health.

Gillibrand Ad-- Showing all lives matter

The following ad will run until Labor Day in; Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire.

Senator Gillibrand understands that ALL lives matter...

Which is why at this time of great peril, she will fight to reduce police violence against minorities, and address quality-of life issues for all Americans, like housing, job discrimination, the minimum wage and unfair practices by higher education that doesn't make debt grow on trees.

Paid for by Gillibrand for President 2016

Meet Voters at the Sandwich Fair, Center Sandwich, New Hampshire (With John Lynch)

Interview with Dan Patrick for Sports Illustrated at Holderness Community Church, Holderness, New Hampshire

So Senator, you have to have some favorite teams, right?

Well, I happen to be a Yankees fan...but isn't everybody?

Do you believe it's a waste of taxpayer money to be prosecuting Lance Armstrong, essentially for PED usage?

No, I don't, because the usage of HGH and Steroids by those not intended for them is a federal crime, and someone like Armstrong, who betrayed so many after his Tour de France victories deserves more than a slap on the wrist.

Any predictions for the upcoming MLB Postseason stretch drive?

Call me crazy, but I think we'll have another Subway Series!

Finally, will you continue President Obama's tradition of making NCAA Basketball brackets every March?

Sure, even if it drives my VP crazy.

July 10, 2015

July 11, 2015

Meet with Nancy Kassebaum in Tipton, Kansas

Attend Services/Speech, United Methodist Church, Cawker City, Kansas

Today's America has lost sight of what Jesus would do in our world. He wouldn't deport children of Illegal Immigrants. He wouldn't let people die in senseless wars, and I doubt he'd care whether a woman could have an abortion, or whether two individuals of the same gender could get married. We've lost sight of this in a hyper-partisan atmosphere, and if we're supposed to be a "Christian Nation", a "City on a Hill, we need to get back to the basics of what he preached...love and tolerance for all.

January 3, 2016

Speech at South Winneshiek High School, Calmar, Iowa (With Bruce Braley, Tom Harkin and Patty Judge)

The reality is, Americans are falling behind the world in Science and Math, because we have traded our exceptionalism for fatalism, our willingness to do the work required to get rich, to taking unnecessary, lazy, and dangerous shortcuts, and above all, we have let the almighty dollar rule us instead of ruling it. This has to change if we are to remain competitive economically with China, and survive future economic catastrophes.

January 4, 2016

Tour Gramolini's Meat Market, East Kingston, New Hampshire (With John Lynch)

Appearance on New Day (From, East Kingston, New Hampshire)

So, what is your take on Mr. Gates candidacy?

Frankly, it feels like he's trying to buy the Presidency. While that might not be his actual intent.. anytime someone with his net worth ran, that's what it'll look like to the average voter.

Does the endorsement from Jeb Bush help him should he win the nomination?

No. Conservatives don't like the Bushes, Liberals don't like the Bushes, many independents don't like the Bushes... It's not going to help him a bit.

So you don't think he can win the nomination?

No, I don't...and if he does, he's going to have to spend a lot more than he is right now.

Coming up next... Newt Gingrich and Donna Brazile on the Walker/Warren debate, and who they expect the winner to be.

"
Obama's Southern Man Hired for Biden Campaign
[picture="TharonJohnson"][/picture]

Tharon Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia has been announced as the campaign's official Chairman of the Biden Georgia Campaign. The Southern Biden Campaign is currently headed by Steve Riccheti, and he appears to be briefing the campaign to Johnson.

Johnson is rumored to be a potential co-Chairman of the Southern Biden Campaign."

- Politico, October 7

The Biden campaign would gladly welcome Democrats such as Kirsten Gillibrand and Elizabeth Warren to the Select Health Committee.

Governor Locke is unable to attend.... due to scheduling concerns.... but.. will send a Rep over if that is okay.

The Gillibrand campaign would love to attend...just let us know when.

Gillibramd statement on Clinton endorsement

Mrs. Clinton, you have been an inspiration to women across the globe for over two decades now. To say I am honored and humbled by your endorsement is an understatement, and I look forward to achieving great things, with you alongside me. We will strive hard to once again make America a place where everyone has the right to express their beliefs, where ALL lives matter, and where opportunity is there for all, rich and poor, of all races and genders....

Hillary, you and your husband changed American Political discourse in the 90's, and I am proud to have supported you in 2000 and 2006. and to have received your support in my bds for the Senate. Now it's my turn to make you proud. Wish me luck!

So do you believe pay-for-play is the way to go for athletes?

Absolutely, and Northwestern's loss at the NRLB is positively disgraceful in my regard. A student-athlete today is an athlete first, and a student second, but the reality is the rest of the country doesn't see it that way.

Who wins the SEC Tournament, in your opinion?

Kentucky for the men, Tennessee for the women.
