Schedule for Elizabeth Warren

October 10, 2016

Speech at the Neal Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii (With Brian Schatz)

The Opioid epidemic has been going on, both here in New Hampshire, and in many other states for years now, with no end in sight. As President I'll direct the FDA to have opioids like Oxycontin, Percocet, Vicodin and Fentanyl among others, to be removed from the US market, increase funding for drug treatment for those who remain addicted, and direct the Justice Department to issue civil and criminal charges against doctors who continue to prescribe opioids to patients.

I'm sorry, I have to quit. My computer is just not co-operating with this thread for some reason.

If Bernie Sanders really needs a new player in order to be active in the game, then I'm ready to replace GoTfan for that role.

I personally have no objections, but you really should check with him first...send him a PM.

So that is official. I'm replacing GoTfan as Bernie Sanders. Feel the bern.

I'm not sure if GoTfan sent in debate answers, since that was this turn...but you do need to draw up a schedule for Sanders and possibly his running mate (Tulsi Gabbard, if you weren't paying attention).

I think there is a mistake on this map because actually Sanders is the one who is leading in Vermont, right? So Vermont should be coloured in green, not red.

Either that or Tossup...

Also, shouldn't Hawaii still be a tossup? Rubio's only up three, and there's still room for either Warren or Sanders to win it.

Schedule Summary for Sherrod Brown

Sherrod Brown stumped in Colorado, New Mexico, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

He also participated in transition planning for a hypothetical Warren Administration by teleconference, from Pittsburgh. He also discussed plans with his staff on what to do in 2018 if the ticket loses (he favors passing on a re-election bid, and running for President himself in 2020).

Sherrod Brown's response to Marco Rubio and Khizir Khan in Richmond, Virginia

Senator, when did my ticket-mate name you or any other Republican elected official in her speech today? To suggest she is targeting you specifically is jumping to conclusions, and quite frankly wrong. We all want to protect America and bring equality for Muslims, we just have different methods of so.

October 31st - Election Day

The final slog before voters head to the polls and elect the 45th President of the United States. Senator Rubio is holding onto his lead and has seen movement in the polls, particularly in the Midwest and RustBelt. Senator Warren for her part is trying to hold together the Obama Coalition, while dealing with Senator Bernie Sanders. Sanders, who’s numbers have dropped is still Polling well in places Warren will need to hold on Election Day. Congressman Paul meanwhile, caps off the final sprint with a rush of endorsements and fundraising; raising the stakes for his campaign.

538 Presidential Election Tracking
Rubio: 47% chance of winning
Warren: 31% chance of winning
22% chance of a tie or deadlock Election.

This round will last until Tuesday at 10:00 pm.
I will be posting pundit predictions and final polling later

Final polling, you mean Election Night results? Just to be sure.

I would assume Election Night will be a turn to itself...but don't quote me.

November 1, 2016

Meet Voters in Loretto, Minnesota

Speech in Plymouth, Minnesota

What my campaign, and the DNC did to Senator Sanders was despicable. However, I had no knowledge of or desire to collude with the DNC to destroy Senator Sanders's campaign, and the fact that elements of my campaign, and the DNC were doing so are reprehensible. Had Senator Sanders named a price for not starting an independent campaign, such as my withdrawal from the race, I would have done it in a second. However, it is too late now. The election is just over a week away, and it's too late to get anyone off a ballot.

OOC:  I may be jumping the gun, a little bit, but if NHI agrees to it, would everyone be interested in continuing to 2020 after this game?

(I already have who I want to run as in mind, assuming Warren doesn't win....)

Yes I am all in for 2020!

Maybe sending a preview PM to all previous players (GoTfan, Wjx987 and CMB222), in addition to those playing now, and anyone else you feel would be interested is a good idea?

Will be held up on update. Caught up in election night gathering for city council race.
Will have it up tomorrow!

NHI

I just posted my campaign schedule so I think we can start the next turn and start Election Night.

Don't worry, he said it would be up tomorrow.

I'm already planning Warren's concession speech, as IMO, I don't see a path for victory that involves sweeping all battleground states+ Vermont, and she ain't winning Vermont.

Warren Concession Speech

I was truly honored to be the first female Presidential nominee, but this was not our year. I honor Senator Rubio on making history in his own right, on being the first Latino President ever, and implore all Americans, no matter who you voted for, to fall behind him as President. I want to thank all of my rivals, from Senator Rubio, to Senator Sanders and Congressman Paul, for being such excellent opponents.

Senator Brown and I are gracious for your support, throughout this campaign, and look forward to a day in the future where our goals will be realized. One day we will have a female President, it just won't be this day.

Me too. And i do as well. Hopefully life doesn't sabotage me again.

I'm  interested but can we at least lay down the cabinet of the term of the Rubio/Pearcy administration?

Ok, great! If UWS and Jaguar4Life would like to layout the Cabinet Members for the Rubio Administration in this thread, that would be great. I'll open a new thread in a day or and we can get the ball rolling.

Yes we will do. And can we also make a summary of the accomplishments made by President Rubio during his Presidency?

I think the four years of Rubio's Presidency should be a separate, smaller thread. Namely, three (or four depending on when the 2020 game starts) State of the Union addresses, and a dedicated election night 2018.

Besides, my choice for 2020 depends on whether he wins re-election in 2018 (Sherrod Brown is my preferred pick, so I'd appreciate it, if no one else took him).

Senator Warren and more importantly, Senator Brown will vote "NAY" on the nominations of Cruz, Mattis (Warren only), DeVos, Brownback and Giuliani.

Any chance you could save Sherrod Brown from a midterm defeat?

He can't lose if I'm going to use him as my 2020 candidate...

I like how Rubio hasn't experienced any negatives at all.

I'm sure he has, UWS just is glossing over them. It's called propaganda.

I'm sure he has, UWS just is glossing over them. It's called propaganda.

Not even that, he has literally experienced no negatives or legislative failures at all. This makes him even more successful in implementing his agenda than FDR, which is completely unrealistic, especially since most of his economic ideas seem to have absolutely no negative effects whatsoever on anyone at all.

He's making Rubio's administration seem like rainbows and puppies and kittens, which is completely unrealistic.

I think NHI will nerf some parts of he's administration, or at least he should, so the game can be interesting and not something like "Rubio will win in a landslide regardless of what you do"

He better...I'd like to see Rubio forced to appoint someone else to Scalia's seat...maybe Brian Sandoval.
