Governor TNF of Kentucky leads a primary challenge against president Obama, he is ultimately unsuccessful, but makes a serious dent against the Obama campaign. His active union support helps him in the midwest. Late in the campaign, republican voters vote for him in the democratic primary, believing he will be easier to defeat than Obama.

President Barack Obama (D-IL)
