While special elections proved to be a problem last selection, this creates a new problem - too much executive power over the Assembly. This isn't my Assembly - it's the people of the Northeast's. And if a vacancy lasts for more than a month of the term, I believe that we should give that power to the people.

I take that as an endorsemt. It's all very well to want to do something, but if you don't actually explain how to do it, then the whole system breaks down, like it usually does.
