Debate will last for 72 hours.

I have 36 hours to advocate for my bill.

Gentlemen, I feel that the Restoration of the Arts Act is - right from the start - silly. The original bill was terrible, the amended version was a bit better, but overall the bill is just a waste. I do not feel that the sponsors of either version of the bill properly justified the need for their bill. In this day and age of technology, iTunes, and YouTube, there is no justification for our school systems to spend time playing music.

I thank my fellow Representatives for their support for my bill. I am glad we could come together for this.

I apologize for the delay, I was waiting to see if anything would prosper from Senator Blair's appearance. It is, after all, in the powers of the Speaker to extend debate as he sees fit.

The vote will last for 48 hours or until all members have voted.

Representative Lincoln Republican,

I thank you for your reminders, although they are not needed. I will respond to all pending matters once I am able to get to a computer - that may not be for a a few hours after the period elapsed. Further, it is within the Speaker's purview to extend deadlines as he sees fit.

With that said, this bill passes with 4 Ayes and One Representative not voting.

Mr. Speaker, my apologies.

I am sure you are pleased that the Assembly election is coming up this weekend.

I am also sure that you are happy that I am not seeking reelection to the Assembly.  Smiley

No, I actually quite enjoy you and working with you.
