Nay, on the grounds that they is a plural pronoun, whereas the pronouns that this bill would replace (He, she) are singular pronouns.

a) considering you've said literally nothing about this up to now, this seems like an excuse

I had a college paper marked wrong because I used they as a singular pronoun. I stand by my nay vote and the grammatical existence of they as a plural pronoun.
