This is a major embarrassment for every state with a ban bar Mississippi. If it's legal in Alabama, what does that say about you? I know it's not necessarily implying approval by the populace or even EO's, but even their courts are sensible enough.
Blame Reagan and Dubya for why Ohio and Michigan don't have it. They made our 6th Circuit Court a homophobic majority over the years and are the only circuit so far to rule in favor of our state's gay marriage bans.
I'm peaved that George Wallace's home state has it before us, but it's just the waiting game at this point before Ohio & Co. finally joins the rest.
