It's home to the artsy town of Grand Marais, a vacation spot on Lake Superior and gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.  Lots of nature lovers, and the type of pro-environment liberals who would not trend Trump's way.

Cook County also voted heavily against the anti-gay marriage amendment in 2012.
