Freedom day ... connected with a few of my salespeople, oversaw the completion of a major proposal, my team brought in a few POs, got closer to finalizing the corporate budget for the year and got updates on nearly every major R&D project. Opie and Jim Norton had me rolling on the drive home from work, dinner was ready when I got home, I caught up on the latest comic in the "Spider-Verse" series (Spider-Man 2099 #8), got a few work items finished tonight and am relaxing with a beer and the Forum.

The only H thing in a largely F day? My team's number increased (again) for the year, and I've got to break the news to them this week ... all doable, just more to bear.

Another freedom day -- an unveiling of two new videos from my marketing team, a solid meeting with a potential partner company, a productive root-cause / counter-measures meeting and lunch with our VP of Operations, a productive planning call with my senior sales manager, a customer planning meeting with another sales person in California and a solid end to the day with my new boss, finalizing our annual budget. My partner and I had some light shopping on Country Club Plaza in KC and had a nice dinner with drinks at an oyster bar.

Overall, a freedom day. After I picked up some fresh laundry from the dry cleaner, I started my workday with putting together a few reports / forecasts for my sales and marketing departments. I just rolled out my team's goals and payment plans for the year (which made yesterday border on an HD), so I spent some time today analyzing the impact of various bonuses for achieving stretch goals on the company's bottom line. We've put together some really exciting rewards for success. Additionally, I built out a few varying pricing models to work into upcoming discussions about increasing revenue while being more competitive, met with my boss regarding upcoming sales meetings, and for the last six hours (ugh), I've been in airports and on planes, heading to Orlando. I was extremely productive on the planes, though, and completed three in-depth root cause analyses for customer deployment issues that I'll pass along to our operations teams. I'll hopefully be on the ground safely within 20 minutes and in bed at my hotel within an hour!
