Right bear arms is an unassailable right. Agree
Oppose restrictions on the right to bear arms. Agree
Loosen restrictions on interstate gun purchases. Ehhhh Neutral
Allow veterans to register unlicensed guns. Lean Agree
Recognize heritage of hunting and shooting on federal lands. Agree
No background checks at gun shows. Disagree
More penalties for gun violations. Neutral, this doesn't do anything, we've been raising them for a while now.
Guns don't have to be sold with trigger locks. Lean Disagree, its safer to have them.
Prohibition remains on suing gun manufacturers and sellers for gun misuse. Agree, its not their fault, its the persons fault.
National cross-state standard for concealed carry. Agree
Ban on gun registration and trigger lock law in Washington D.C. Leave it up to Washington, if they want to do what they want, they should. However I think that the 2nd amendment should never be infringed so....
No permit needed to purchase a firearm or assault weapon. Disagree
No license required to own a firearm or assault weapon. Disagree
Allow for open carry outside of cities with exception of legal officials. Agree
Require permits to carry on a shall issue basis. Agree
Require 12 hour training class before allowing open carry. Agree
One day waiting period for purchase of a firearm as opposed to 3 days. I suppose, yes.
Magazines holding more than 31 rounds considered as automatic firearms. Um, I guess.
Guns must be kept in a locker room at courthouses. Agree
No guns on or near schools and churches. Probably agree, maybe just one for rare purposes.
Maintain current hunting laws to protect hunted species from going extinct. Agree
 
Firearms in Vehicles:
 
1. In a closed package, box, or case. Agree
2. In a compartment that can only be reached by leaving the vehicle. Agree
3. In plain sight and secured in a rack or holder. Not in plain sight, secured where no one sees it.
4. Must be unloaded. Agree

Gun Control is an issue I'm pretty right wing on. I absolutely support the right to bear arms with all extent and the amendment should never be repealed. I oppose limitations on magazines, as well as gun bans in general, even if their heavy duty (WAY more people get killed by handguns).

I do however, support background checks, training classes, and standard licenses to have a gun, that way we are doing are best to make using guns safe. But that's pretty much it, I am pro-2nd amendment.
