Media reports that Covington potentially won't report: election commissioner was home in bed when reached.

That guy just lost his job. Seriously though? He had to know this was a big day...

Vote margin is narrowing, only 1,356 votes separating them.

Just from looking at the California house races so far, it looks like most of them will have a republican and a democrat in the general. Only a few uber D districts in the Bay area or LA area have two democrats leading. Interestingly, in CA-25 two republicans are leading in a potentially competitive seat. The same for the Controller statewide race. Can this be another CA-31 mistake on democrats part for republicans to escape a competitive partisan race?

Brad Zaun is looking to be the winner for IA-3 R primary.

The MT-AL house seat is still up in the air on the republican side (mainly between Zinke and Stapleton)

And on MS, it looks like, sadly, Cochran will McDaniel will fight it out for three more weeks.

I'm done for the night.

Brat now leads the House Majority Leader 60-40 with 22% of the vote in (a 3,000 vote lead). I swear if the inevitable happens tonight, we could be looking at a Speaker Kevin McCarthy, but it's still early and Cantor should have a comeback here.

In VA-1, Wittman is easily beating his primary challenger.

You mean majority leader McCarthy, right?

Brat still holding a 56-44 lead with over half in. These are amazing results!

If Tancredo wins tonight, the CO gov. race could move one step closer to Safe D.

Looks like Lankford is floating above 50%, he will probably avoid a runoff with Shannon Sad

I would be cautious of calling it for Cochran. Its now 53-47, and there's still McDaniel-friendly territory to report.

97% in, Cochran still has a 4K lead, there is no making up that gap now, the tea party has lost this race.

The tea party is officially dead. You can't win a MISSISSIPPI runoff against a moderate republican? LOL
If the tea party considers Cochran a moderate, no wonder its dead

I'm pretty sure they consider him a liberal...

So, still the only incumbents that lost are Ralph Hall and Eric Cantor. The anti-incumbent movement isn't going to well.

"This is a fight we had to have."
"I want to thank you for standing with me." - "I'm still standing."
"We were right tonight."
"Now it's our job to make sure the sanctity of the vote is upheld!"
"We want to make sure the Republican primary was won by Republican voters!"
"But we are not prone to surrendering, Mississippians."

Couldn't have said it better myself. And judging from his remarks, he will in fact challenge the vote! Cheesy  Cochran doesn't deserve this "victory" when McDaniel won the initial primary to begin with, with 49.5% of the vote, runoff or not. It's clear Mississippi conservatives, not liberal black Democrats, want McDaniel, not a long-serving, out of touch Senator.

Why do want McDaniel in the Senate?

This guy won a state legislature primary in Colorado:

He's an open theocrat, a bible literalist, believes in demons, etc. Just watch some of his videos here

What portion of Colo Springs is that - the article says that the previous incumbent was a Republican, but did they just send a demon-possessed person to the State House, or did they just deliver the seat to the Dems?

District 15 in the house covers the eastern suburban part of the Colorado Springs area. I actually drew it out the best I could, and from my drawings it voted 63-36 McCain in 2008.

Mark Walker has won the NC-6 R primary
Josh Brannon has won the NC-5 D primary
Gary Palmer has won the AL-6 R primary

Nothing real interesting tonight.
