Sheehan should seek a different House seat, one that is currently held by a Republican.
Call me a traditionalist, but I think people should only run in the districts in which they, you know, live.
Agreed, though the Constitution only requires candidates to live in the state from which they are seeking office, not the district itself. As a matter of law this is probably a good idea since it prevents legislatures from gerrymandering a candidate out of his or her preferred district and forcing them to move. If a candidate is a carpetbagger and the voters have a problem with that, they'll reject the candidate on election day. Their opponents are free to make it an issue in the campaign.
