The current state of health care in this country scares me. So I'm willing to take my chances.

The current state of health care in this country troubles me. But I would prefer to move in the right direction, rather than the wrong one.

Agreed. Which is why I accordingly voted no. Smiley

No, but I would prefer single payer.

Agreed. But it's a step in the right direction.

Then he's retarded. There's no such thing as healthcare reform without a public option.

Also, the idea that we can get 70 or 80 votes for this in the Senate is similarly retarded. Only like 66 Senators voted for SCHIP, fuçking SCHIP, and we're supposed to find an additional 15 Republicans to support universal healthcare? Good luck with that.

Well of course it's not going to be "universal" sadly, but hopefully we gain Senate seats in 2010 and have enough votes to improve upon it.
