Who won the Paul vs. Christie Battle

Christie was emotional, while Paul was stiff, rude (talking over Christie) and pedantic. Emotional always wins over stiffness, even with Republican voters (perhaps especially with Republican voters).

Also Christie is right that it's pretty darn impossible to gather more information on potential terrorists and less on everyone else until you know who might actually commit terrorist attacks in the future.

Totally agreed. So emotional. Rand Paul can come across as so flat and almost autist-like so many times, and this was certainly no exception. I think he realized his own blundered with that smirk he showed off to the camera. Either he was embarrassed of himself or he thought he had crushed Christie, perhaps a little bit of both to be honest.

I think we can now safely say the correct answer is: they both lost.

Yet Rand Paul lost far more. How else could he have literally no more supporters than Jim Gilmore right now? However, Paul might make a comeback, as might Christie. I have a stronger confidence in a Christie comeback though.
