Philadelphia is going to be a disaster if Bernie doesn't put his foot down soon.

I just overheard a woman screaming that Bernie has been winning 60% of the primary vote, so this is all a huge injustice and a fix.

I kinda love hearing how Clinton supporters are the uninformed ones yet Sander's supporters are more likely to spew nonsense like this as facts.

Uh, no, the vote to change the temporary rules into whatever the Bernie side wanted to change them to required a 2/3 vote.  Where are you getting your facts from?  I'm literally sitting here in the convention right now.

What? It was the Hillary side that had the rules changed.

Wrong again.  The temporary rules were drawn up by a committee of 3 Hillary supporters and 3 Bernie supporters.

That wasn't good enough for the Bernie side, who wanted to change them to who knows what else, but needed a 2/3 majority to do so.  They failed, obviously, so the temporary rules were adopted as permanent.

Stop lying. The rules committee never agreed to the rules. The adoption of the rules was a total fraud. We are so done with this corrupt party.

Who is we? You and a bunch of liberals from blue states who never bothered to vote in midterms anyway?

^ Jfern has had an Indy avatar since Bush was president, IIRC.

So hes been done with "this corrupt party" for close to a decade then?

This is so painful to watch. Here we have someone who is actually at the convention and who has no reason or incentive to lie to a bunch of internet posters about what is actually going on, and someone else who is getting worked into a frenzy by a bunch of fellow delusional perpetual-outragers huffing and puffing to each other on Twitter and Reddit and who have likely altered the actual story a half-dozen times as it passes from one irrational actor to the next across the interwebs.

Screw off. Joe lied when he said the rules committee agreed to any rules.

Who should we believe, Jfern and his twitter sources or Joe who was actually there?

And regardless, the delegates that showed up all got counted so im not sure why a debate about a rule change matters anyways.

Nope, 64 Bernie delegates got excluded.

Gonna need you to back that up.

What would be an acceptable proof, since a tweet from a reporter isn't enough for you guys?

A tweet is not proof so your right when you say it isnt enough.

He's half-right.  The credentials committee's minority report stated what jfern just claimed.  The reason why they were excluded is because they weren't elected as delegates at either of the two previous caucus conventions, which was very clearly outlined as necessary from the very beginning.

You can't just show up to the state convention if you weren't elected as a state delegate or alternate.

Makes sense but it wont stop people from claiming the convention was stolen i'd bet.

All this nitpicking and nagging really is pointless since this race has been mathematically over since Super Tuesday. It's really been done since South Carolina.

Obviously Hillary is almost certainly going to be the nominee, butHillary people seem to want to stick it to Bernie people, and assume that they'll vote for her. Hell no!

Good. If the Democrats don't want to have a Donald Trump in their hands then they ought to purge the party from left-wing nuts like you, just like the Republicans did in the 60's with the Birchers.

You can't take away our power, because WE DON'T HAVE ANY!!!!!!

Who is this we you keep referring to?

And now it's the front page of RCP.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/05/15/sanders_supporters_immediately_question_yeasnays_she_passed_it_before_we_even_said_no.html

The reporting is just a copy of what the Sanders supporter says in his video.  They claim she closed the convention without allowing adequate time for the nays to shout.  Even though the second video posted clearly shows that she allowed just as much time for the nays as she did for the ayes.

The comments are full of Sanders supporters and Trump supporters agreeing that the democratic party is dead and Clinton is a fascist and they will get their revenge in November.

What actually happened be damned!  Not sure what they hoped to accomplish by preventing the convention from closing.  Apparently she was rushing due to the casino hurrying to kick them all out because the Bernie people were getting too violent and it was close to a riot.  So much irony.

This is American politics today.  Lies just become truth by being repeated over and over and over until everyone believes them without checking on the facts.  Even if one lie is proven to be a lie, if you just tell enough lies then you can say "where there's smoke there's fire, there wouldn't be this many 'suspicious incidents' if there weren't some truth behind it."  This is the story of the Clintons' career so I'm sure it doesn't faze Hillary.  But it's very irritating to the rest of us nonetheless.

I wouldn't pay it any mind. The fact that Sanders himself hasn't come out and cried foul/threatened a lawsuit means this will probably be ignored outside of the hardcore Sanders group. The protest outside of the Nevada DNC office was pretty small today and some of the speakers were downright painful to listen to("Hillary won't be viable in Oregon but it won't matter anyway because she'll be indicted soon"). To be honest, im getting more Ron Paul 2012 reminders than revolution.

Good job protesters, that'll show em.

Thank you Jon Ralston for keeping us up to date.

Also apparently the protest moved to the Bellagio to get more coverage.

The silence from Sanders on this is very telling.

In a way, its good news for Hillary since the last thing she needs is another shouting match between the Sanders campaign and the DNC. On the other hand, this behavior needs to be condemned by Sanders. Can you imagine chair throwing in Philly? But instead of police ushering Sanders supporters out it will be secret service beating the ever loving sh**t out of anyone who even trys to threaten Clinton. Its a diaster waiting to happen.

I hope Bernie calls on the Hillary Clinton to disavow HillaryBro Wendell Pierce who beat a female Sanders supporter.

That's not even close to comparable.

REID FURIOUS AT BERNIE'S STATEMENT ON NV, tells me it's a "silly statement" and says Bernie is "better than that"

Also Jon Ralston posted the Nevada dem parties response to Sanders statement.

https://www.scribd.com/doc/312952650/nsdp

They basically called him a liar.
