That is so weird that the marriage amendment would fail.  I mean, I understand the view that polygamy is more likely to be legalized if gay marriage is legal, but I'd still expect these fundamentalists to vote against gay marriage.

"Marriage is between a man and a woman."

Different part being objected to.
