I've heard very good things about the Research Triangle area, but the rest of the state is a bit too...rural North Carolina for me.

A little too lacking in rural areas for my tastes in parts, and there are some awful areas, but overall positive.  Smiley

I'm sure there are some very nice parts, but from my limited understanding (particularly in regards to the educational system), not positive.
