Nobody's offended by it. It's obviously an attempt at jest that, like most things IceSpear, reeks of trying too hard.

Oh please, this isn't fooling anyone. We all know this forum is more offended by WV bashing than anything else. People here would rather watch small puppies getting abused on live TV than read a single line of text that makes fun of their beloved sacrosanct WV. There's already been hundreds if not thousands of posts dedicated to this, so why deny reality?

Also, weren't you an LOLbertarian who switched to being a Dem hack within the span of like 2 months? Perhaps you are projecting a little too much here about "trying too hard." I don't see how urging someone to use proper grammar is edgy. If anything, it is the exact opposite. Edgy would be typing as if you're on tumblr in an attempt to look "unique." Unless evergreen simply has a broken caps lock key, in which case I strongly suggest splurging on a new keyboard. Using the shift key would also be an alternative.

It's because that's her "thing," so to speak. TNV's is whining about New Hampshire in completely unrelated threads to cover up his crush on Kelly Ayotte, yours is whining about West Virginia and pretending to be from WV to make a point... you get the gist.

Actually, I rarely ever posted about WV (at least no more than any other state) until I noticed the forum's hilarious "outrage", severe overreactions, and dogpiling any time someone dared to break the taboo and make a negative comment about it (but nobody cares if you bash Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Jersey, etc.)

I think it was a couple months ago I posted a picture of a hick off Google images and said they were from WV, which caused a torrent of hellfire to rain down upon me from the heavens and like a 10 page thread discussing how I was literally Hitler for this unforgivable crime. I found the whole episode funny, and have since exaggerated my (genuine) dislike of WV to rustle the feathers of the pearl clutchers here (and judging from all the butthurt in this thread, it is working quite well.)

The problem, IceSpear, is that even disregarding that thread, your new personality, or lack thereof, is unfunny and irritating. I feel like you legitimately don't have the ability to grasp these simple facts:

1. Not all poor white people are Republicans.
2. Not all West Virginians are 'rednecks'.

Now, normally, I dislike this term, but this is a textbook example of latte liberalism.

Really, the whole gimmick would work better if he had  D-WV avatar, because WV has more registered Ds.

I was a hard working white working class male blue collar populist coal mining Reagan Democrat, until 2009. But once the Democratic Party became an anti-white hate group, filled with radical environmentalist loons who parroted the "global warming" myth to destroy coal, and forced Barry Soetoro down our throats, I began to identify more as a Republican. Now that the GOP has nominated the best presidential candidate since 1968, I will be a Republican for life.

However, I'm actually still registered as a Democrat so I can vote in the local primaries for dog catcher and coroner. In 2008 I voted for Hillary, which I now deeply regret due to the fact that she became an Obamao shill rather than the champion of hard working white Americans she presented herself as back then.  In 2012 I proudly cast my vote for Keith Russell Judd. This time I considered voting for the communist to stick it to the Demoncrats, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. I went with Paul Farrell instead.
