Talley, green or blue? Originally, I was unsure which color to go along with. Although if we adopt that logo, I expect our official color will be green and not regal purpose.

Yeah, green was my first preference, Duke. I completely support that logo. Smiley

Good. At least we are narrowing down our choices. Tongue

OK, well, find a new tree we can use. Right now, we seem to have People who want to use the purple simplistic look and one who likes the tree concept. I have not endorsed either, and I will not until we vote, but I am here to use any Photoshopping skills I have to make these requests a reality.

I also found another tree. This one includes purple text, since we seem to be on a purple kick. Maybe it satisfies the masses? Maybe not. Tongue

Don't get smart with me, man. I am going to superimpose that sh*t once I get out of class. I can do the banner jazz too, but aesthetically it would look silly. But being The Party of The People, we will all vote on all of these logos.

The question is, do we want a purple tree? I can do both. I will do both.

OK. So I can't really stretch Oakvale's banner because it looks ridiculous. If he wants, he can make a banner and I can impose it on a tree if we want to see what it looks like. Here is what I came up with:

I like that last purple and green one. That or oakvale's with gold lettering. Or green might be cool too I guess.

This is the closest I could get to Oakvale's with gold letters, it's a bit more blown up than his is, and I don't know what font he used:

And here are the tree logos, without being so bold. The purple is the same purple in Oakvale's logo since we like regal purple Tongue

and green:

I plan to have us vote on the logos and color at The Convention unless we have a unanimous agreement beforehand. If we have differing opinions, we can settle at the ballot box. Either way, The Will of The People will prevail.

I was just posting these now since I tend to be obsessive over a good logo and wanted to get as many out as possible so we'll have plenty of choices when we gather in Buffalo.

The pink will go down as a fond memory of mine. While I never really liked it, it took us so many places.

Lime green would be nice. I like that it is unique to the other parties, sort of like our party is unique of Atlasia. But, we can still vote next week on them in case regal purple has a silent majority out there. Wink

I just stole the Seahawks colors for mine hehe

I noticed. You're is pretty sick. Kind of like the Seahaws unis.

Also, I updated the front page with our member numbers, office holders, leaders, etc., sort of as a minor housekeeping. If anyone was curious about how we were doing as a party, check it out. Tongue

Yes, welcome. It is always nice when The People gain another follower to their cause. A Person is a significant new member. Not only does his name fit in with The Party, he is also the 15th member of The Party! Welcome!

I would be overjoyed if you guys picked Green as your color; I could then refer to Marokai/Duke as a Red-Green ticket. Tongue

Don't worry, my prince, it looks like The People's winds are blowing in that direction. Wink

OK. Below is the tentative schedule for The Convention. We will have a lot of downtime between voting, so anything is free to discuss.

I want to say a quick congratulations to all The People's candidates and all the other winners in this election. The early returns show we have not only retained our 3 senate seats, but we also have picked up a NE Assembly seat. It was a long, tough battle. I am especially  proud of all the hard work everyone in The Party did this weekend. It was truly a team effort. I will speak more at length at The Convention later. Stay tuned. The Convention will go on. We have more work to do! For The People!

Alright, guys. I will be in Washington till Sunday night without a laptop, so I am leaving it up to The People to decide if we need to start an endorsement vote for the special election before I return. It is Your Party, after all. PM me if anything is needed. I will have my iPhone with me at all times.

I encourage my friends within the party to second-preference former Secretary of External Affairs Clarence.

In addition to Talleyrand, I hope that The People will support either former Game Moderator Shua or former Governor Zuwo in the Mideast Assembly election. (I would also like to see Gass and Inks win reelection.)

Well, the last two better declare here before midnight or we can't endorse them. Tongue

The People's Goodnight

Since September, The People's Party has led Atlasia through its actions, its grace and its dignity. But tonight, The People are going into The Night. The Party was founded on the basic principles that a strong community, a solid team, strong ethics, and a solid goal could take a party to places previously thought impossible. We proved that not only could a party of 16 members hold 5 senate seats, it could also hold 3 in one cycle, run a newspaper, elect a VP, and be home to some of the best senators in the game. The People were a culmination of Atlasia's best and brightest of the center-left, and it showed that when we, The People, work together, nothing can stop us but ourselves. And now, the center-left must work together to accomplish the ideals we hold so dear.

And tonight, we recognize that The Future is out there. The People must go forth into the world, mindful of our past, and hopeful of our future. Tonight, this project, known as The Party, ends. But The People will go on. We are always present, always willing to listen, and always walking with our heads up, listening to that butterfly fluttering its wings under the oak tree. The People will live on now and forever. On behalf of all of us in The People's Party, we say thank you to those who supported us throughout this endeavor. It truly represented the Power of The People.

Now it is time to leave...

X Duke

The People's Party cannot be resurrected by one man. No, it is truly a movement of Atlasia's best and brightest, and without Their return, The Party must remain dormant.

I do thank you for your interest in The Party. If you or anyone have any further questions or musings, please feel free to post them. This is, after all, still The People's Thread.
