Run for what?

The vacant Senate seat(s), obviously.  Come now Duke, it's really time you returned to where you belong.

But the senate has been in such fine shape since I left! We only have a few vacancies every cycle instead of the occasion one!

We can run 2 candidates for the 2 seats. Doesn't matter if we don't win both - I just want our candidates to be good people who will be active and contribute to discussion in the senate. We have too many people resigning and disappearing in it right now

I want to take a moment to recognize a fallen hero today, Governor John Engle of South Carolina, the latest victim of our friend Inks. John brought an aura of joy to this game - I know I was a happier boy when he was around - and a since of humanity. Not only did he provide The People with food and words, but he tolerated guys and lesbins in a way only a Person can. I wish John the best, and urge all People to never let his spirit die. Fight for every Person, no matter how great or small, and keep hope alive. Brighter days are ahead of us.

I am sorry to see Tmth step down at his post, as he has always been a stellar recruiter and advocate for The People.

But the good thing about this party is our members - many who are active, engaged and well respected throughout Atlasia. I do support Nix running for this role if he still has the burning desire to do so, and I am excited to see him implement his party on The Party.

Nix is going to have a blast running this joint while I'm away. I can post a bit today so I can certify that he's the winner later. But after tonight it's a blitz for PR, Con Law, Federal Income Tax law and Criminal law. My life... always full of pleasantries.

With simfan declining to run for reelection, it seems we need to run a candidate to maintain our awesome majority in the senate

I might be willing to stand again if truly would be the People's will... Just can't promise a very high level of activity.

Depends on your definition of "a high level of activity."

Obviously, The People's mission is to have active, engaged office holders. If you can be active and engaged, go for it. If you fear a BK situation where you'll disappear for a while, then don't feel pressured to do it.

With Simfan not running and Spammage apparently leaving the party (when did this happen, and why?), we either should endorse someone or run a candidate. I feel like we should run someone if we have an interest. If we can unite behind whoever we run, we should be able to get one in.

Winfield is in The Caucus but an independent otherwise. I wish he'd join The Party.

So franzl is running again, and obviously he will get The People's endorsement. We need to vote on our other endorsements soon.

As I've been tied up with law exams, are all the candidates finalized? Nix?

I'm backing Hagrid and Mr. X for sure. They've made the most compelling cases, and Hagrid has a strong record in the senate already. I wasn't even aware spammage left us until a few days ago. I like what he's done in the pacific but I may want to see what he does there for a bit longer.

We've been a bit overshadowed this election by the goings on in the other two parties, but it's important that we unite behind our man franzl for the good of The People and Their party. I ask all of you to lend him your vote and participate in this democratic process. Who we elect this weekend will be Our representatives, so make it count!
