Currently 16 candidates remain as we go into round 3. Here are the new brackets:

BRACKET A

Winfield
Captain Vlad

Cosmo Kramer
Kashifakhan

BRACKET B

Bacon King
Colin Wixted

Josh22
WMS

BRACKET C

Shilly
FezzyFestoon

Boris78
Akno21

BRACKET D

Bullmoose
MasterJedi

Dave Hawk
Ilikeverin

The top electoral vote getters in each bracket, one Republican and one Democrat, will advance to Round 3. While the EV totals from Round 2 do not count in Round 3 they, along with the Round 3 totals, will be added with a candidates Round 4 total to determine the top three Democrats and Republicans.

Bacon King will be running Brackets A and C of the Tournament and Colin Wixted will be running brackets B and D as before.

Hey, now the following post really doesn't have to do with this thread, but I fugure I'll ask it anyway.

What's a good strategy for Prsident Forever bewcause when I first started I wasn't bad (I got Reagan to get 350 which isn't amamzing, but I had just started) Recently, Reagan lost for me Sad.  I couldn't carry Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or New York and was obliterated in the South. Cry

What should I do to make my candidates do better?

Oh ya and if you do another won of these, I'd love to be included Smiley.

Well the 1980 scenario that comes with P4E is horribly flawed. It gives too much of an advantage to Carter and makes Reagan do much worse than he actually did in 1980. The same is also true of 1972, where there have been times when I've actually lost as Nixon through no fault of my own. My suggestion is if you want to play any historically elections go to 80soft.com and then go to the updates and scenarios page and download some third party scenarios for P4E which I have found to actually be better than the ones made be the 80soft programers, probably because they are Canadian and what do they know about American politics. Tongue

As for strategy there is always the run all the ads that you have in ever state on the last day of the election. This is a well known strategy/cheat that allows you to get some huge momentum on the last day.

My major suggestion is to keep making ads and run as many as you can to keep up your momentum. Spin every scandel you can on the opposing candidate, or candidates, and don't barnstorm in the last week of the election just continually make speeches.

You'll get a hang of it over time. What's even trickier though is Prime Minister Forever. That's impossible. Wink

Which version of PM4E do you have?

Dave

I have both British and Canada 2006 versions.

I may do Bracket B tomorrow actually. I feel like getting this back into swing.

To JCar: Just play as Badnarik with Nader off and just hold down spacebar until the election is over. Spacebar ends the turn without you having to continually press down the end turn button.

I would suggest you also give popular vote percentages along with vote totals and EV totals.
