I would like to say that the only person to blame for my probable defeat is me, and no-one else. I ran a mediocre campaign, and in many other respects was not a good candidate for this position. The Federalist party and leadership are not to blame for my loss; I am to blame. The fact that Lumine is very likely to be elected President at the same time as I am very likely not to hold onto my seat shows that I should shoulder full responsibility for this defeat, and step aside to allow for a new generation of Federalist politicians to emerge in the Mideast to compete in the next round of elections.
