Shumlin/Schweitzer would be the perfect ticket

Option 1. Here's why.

These are the states that voted for the same party 4 out of 4 times since 2000.

D: 242
R: 179

Notice, how O'Malley and Shumlin's home states are both in there already.

Now lets add in states that voted the same way 3/4 times.

D: 253
R: 206

Now lets assume, that Schweitzer and Nixon carry their own states.

D: 266
R: 193

Republicans must now win all six remaining states to win. Democrats have six winning combinations and only need 4 more electoral votes.

O'Malley and Nixon don't put Montana and Misosuri in play by default. Circumstances in the news and with the economy could, but not by default. Schweitzer and Nixon do.
Didn't the Democrats win NH 3 of the last 4 elections? So that leaves no path to victory for the GOP
