I can't find any reason why any of these drugs should be illegal.  People you say otherwise obviously live in a fantasyland where making drugs illegal actually stops their consumption.

the production of methamphetamine can be extremely dangerous for the entire surrounding area due to the gases eminated from cooking meth.

I favor keeping pot illegal, but with minor penalties for use, like a fine. I don't want it sold at convenience stores.

you prefer it to be laced with cocaine and sold in high school bathrooms?

all that prohibition serves to do is create a more dangerous market.

I'd illegalize heroin, cocaine, crack, tobacco, amphetamines, barbituates, meth, and ectasy. All are highly addictive and/or highly dangerous. I'd legalize alcohol, LSD, shrooms, marijuana, salvia, and mescaline.

banning tobacco is impossible and undesirable and illogical.

I agree with Jake. Though there's no point in making tobacco illegal if the rest is legal, since there'd be no reason anyone would do it. Why would rebellious high schoolers smoke tobacco when they could just do pot instead and get it easier? I'd like to see tobacco subjected to Sweden-like restrictions though.

the illegality of marijuana is much of what contributes to its rebel stigma in the first place.  if the legal situation of the two were to be reversed, their roles could, as well, at least to a degree.  not to mention the millions of existing nicotine addicts that would much prefer the black market to withdrawal.

Wait, how do you define "psychoactive?"

Because that's not what I'm talking about.

 Alters your brain.

nicotine addiction permanently alters your brain structure
