Only if the preceding administration was super popular, and the candidate running for President wanted to capture that.

Even then, it's unlikely.

This is useful to keep in mind when in these situations.

If your referring to what I think your referring to, I doubt anyone would want to capture the Obama Administration vibe, and keep Biden. Tongue

I was actually thinking about this earlier today as I was running a possible timeline through my head.

Somebody running as an independent or third party might pick an incumbent VP in order to lend his campaign some credibility. 

Yeah, that'd be a really good idea.
