It seems for American Progressives and liberals, Canadian health care is the ideal goal (despite it being not all that better). However, France, has what's widely regarded as the best health care system in the world - why don't they seek to emulate that?
Canadian health care isn't all that better???
Wait times and rationing are a chronic problem here.
I think the Canadian system is great if you are healthy or very very sick, but if you have a chronic condition or a painful, non-life threatening issue (e.g. Need a knee replaced), it can definitely fail you.
If you have a painful, non-life threatening issue, the American system can fail you. If you have a minor issue, the American system can failure you. If you have a life threatening issue, the American system can fail you.
Canadian system is better.
And of course the British version is even better.
