Do you have all the Trust Jesus and Papa's Retirement Fund cards written?  Are you going to pre-sort them, or will you use some kind of random number generator to choose the card each time?

Is the idea that after each turn, you'll show a new graphic of the board with everyone's current position displayed on it?

Yes, Joe's done a great job considering he didn't quit his job to Focus on Updateopoly.

He did go all in on the focus part of it.

Yes, Joe's done a great job considering he didn't quit his job to Focus on Updateopoly.

Actually I did decide to voluntarily terminate my employment in order to devote my attention 100% to Update-opoly.  This is the path that God has laid out for me, so the moment that I heard His words in my ears, I thrusted ahead and told my boss I was leaving that day and would not return.

I understand that at first there is little to no income from running Update-opoly, but in time my God will deliver on His promise and furnish my desires for financial stability.

That's definitely a different way of doing things.  But just because it's different doesn't make it wrong, and no one can say otherwise.

Russ Powers' Office appears to be the most heavily visited room in all of Oklahoma.

Joe, are the "Papa's Retirement Fund" and "Trust Jesus" cards all settled?  Or do you leave open the option of adding in new cards based on current/future Update developments, and adding them to the deck?

Because it would be fun to include scenarios like "eating cheeseburgers for bowling energy" to those cards:

     Bore     $2239

Bore passes GO and collects $200 of his parents' money, advances to Papa's Retirement Fund and draws a card:

He was previously on the "Papa's Retirement Fund" in the green area.  If he rolled an 8, then he should end up in Blondie's Kennel, not the next Papa's Retirement Fund.

I just tinkled on your argument.

You guys keep knocking me down over the tiniest mistakes.  You've had your fun, but I'm done.  This is the end of Update-opoly forever.

Then why haven't you locked the thread?  Heck, if you really were done with Update-opoly, then you'd de-friend us all from Facebook-opoly, to prevent us from finding out updates about the game there and posting them here.

I'm afraid Update-opoly will never end.  As long as you're posting here, you won't be able to help yourself.  You may go on hiatus from time to time, but you'll always come back.

As it is Christmastime, I have decided to take out a credit card so that I can buy gifts for family and friends as well as relaxing media for my AutoCAD playroom.

My dear King, you need to own all of a colored set of properties before you can start taking out credit cards or loans!  I direct your attention to Chapter 6 of this how-to-play guide.

The way that King plays the game may be different, but you have no right to say that it's wrong.  It's a perfectly normal American way to play.

The Red Team, King, JerryArkansas, and Oakvale have all the properties needed for four monopolies between them.  They should all work out some kind of mega-trade, giving each player one monopoly.  (Thus, screwing over the other four players.)

If you don't do trades to give someone a monopoly, then this game will never end, as no one will ever be eliminated.  Because you have these house rules with free gas and the $400 bonus if you land on Go, there's too much cash in the game.  The existing rents just aren't high enough to force anyone out.  I mean, the two players who don't have any properties should in theory be losing money as they pay rents for the properties they land on.  But they've actually *gained* money compared to their starting positions.  So in your present course, the game will go on indefinitely.

I'd like to point out that this suggestion is not some crazy "get rich quick" scheme.  It's a very sound method for making money, which is used by millions of Americans every day.  As reliable a path to riches as selling Kirby vacuums.

Red team and Oakvale really need to do a trade to split the red and purple monopolies.  They could drive everyone else out of the game, since it doesn't look like anyone else is all that likely to get a monopoly without trading (unless King is extremely lucky with that last green property).

Assuming Grandma's House gets bought, will the Kenyan kids be the last remaining unbought property?  RIP Kenyan kids.

Everybody has been so focused on buying other properties that they have temporarily overlooked their own children!  But fear not, God has told me directly that those children will be purchased no later than August 12th 2019.

Never mind that you need to be legally married to adopt them.  God will provide.

King could always offer the 4th of July to Oakvale in exchange for a large infusion of cash, with the longshot hope of surviving long enough to recoup enough $ to put some credit cards on the green properties.  It probably won't work, but it's better than nothing.

Looks like our dear friends Bacon King and Hockey Dude need to roll a 3 or 11 to survive.

Actually, the best would be an 8.

     Bacon King & HockeyDude     $1696

Red Team advances to Call Center #1 and very generously contributes $1050 to Oakvale to help with his loan payment.

If they were in bed and they rolled a 10, wouldn't they land on Free Gas?
