Mandatory Voting in the United States?

Voters are just uninformed. Some think that the U.S. should impose a civics literacy test to test voters' intelligence on history issues. Some people don't even know the history of our country, let alone the representative of their district.

Since turnout is going to be very low in these primaries in 2014, why don't have a literacy test anyway? Some people are just too uniformed to vote. It probably shouldn't be mandatory, voters are just lazy and uninformed, it's depressing.
