Yes, and the Lib demos issue's stemmed from the fact a large portion of their base naively considered them "labour but nicer" so they were ruffled from the onset with a coalition with the Tories. Polls during this campaign suggests most liberal and NdP voters consider the other party as an ideal second choice -

Don't NDP leaders tend to stick around forever?

NDP seems to be panicking for its Quebec seats:

Man, imagine how high the liberals would be in Ontario if Tim Hudak had won the last election?

Sad. Canada seemed to be the one country where conservatives, no matter their flaws, were at least egalitarian enough to have a diverse base. Deeply disappointing.

Tbh from what I've seen, the Dipper campaign has been so mediocre and bland, I might be tempted to vote Liberal over them. At least we could get stoned, and amuse ourselves with Justin's wacky hijinks in power.

Are there any provincial parties that have stayed dead? The Sask one is the only one I can think of.

Well Alberta's is just clinging on to existence, but they've been kicked down a few other times and returned, so I wouldn't quite pronounce them deceased yet. And Manitoba's liberals are polling fairly high - reaching the 20's - although that might be an illusion I guess.

Taking of the TPP, why are Canadians and alllpolitical parties, so attached to this "supply management" policy? It seems very archaic.

Liberals invented it, NDP are their usual trade selves, and Tories are too incrementalist.

But why is the Canadian public so attached to the success of a small group of coddled dairy farmers?

Some guy on reddit is going through every riding and making a detailed post on them and their history. Pretty interesting and he/she has currently slogged their way through the Atlantic, Quebec and most of Ontario:

Yeah all the regional breakdowns seem kind of fishy in that last poll.

If you love polling data, be prepared to be amazed:

Liberals doing very well in the "riding clusters" being only 8 points behind in the "blowout CPC win" category, neck and neck in the "strong CPC win", fairly competitive in those categorised as CPC-NDP races, winning in "NDP blowouts" and blowing away the "three way races".

There is also some sub regional analysis in there at pages 44 onwards

Could Leslie herself be in danger, considering the Liberals are expected to romp the Atlantic?

How factional are the three main parties? I'm wondering about the potential for post-election infighting, especially amongst the Tories and Oranges.

Don't they sort of go their own way up north?
