So far John Kasich has been able to seem less objectionable than Donald Drumpf and Ted Cruz by not shooting off his mouth. He can't remain silent indefinitely on the polarizing issues that almost every Republican has. 

He HAS sounded off on them. The difference is that he's made his views explicitly his own and more palatable.
