I'd say so. That was on absolutely no one's radar, and it wasn't even close.
It was on people's radar. Major Prognosticators were lowering it to just Lean D in the final weeks, and it was widely expected to be an embarrassing margin of victory for Brown (4-8 points). It's just that nobody important actually went out on a limb and said it would flip.
Such a world of difference in class between Ed Gillespie and Chris McDaniel/Joe Miller.
I'm pretty sure McDaniel still hasn't conceded.
McDaniel is bizarre. Dude is going to become U.S. Senator in the next 6 or 8 years, so why fight this so hard?
It wasn't the only Senate election in Mississippi.

If Cochran retires, as I expect him to do in 2020, anything is possible...
