Canada hasn't had  a conservative prime minister since 1993 right? doesn't look like the next election will elect one either.  Are the conservatives to conservative, I though there was some big scandal with the liberals (maybe it was made out to be bigger than it actually was), but if they can't come close with the opposition in a scandal it looks like they could be in the minority for a while longer.  Of course I really don't know much about canadian politics.

the Canadian Allaince and Progressive conservative parties merged a few years back right.  It was the progressive conservative party that won in the 80's.  Do people not like the merger or view the new joint conservative party as too conservative.

wait I'm I reading this right  in the 1993 election the Progressive conservative party went from being in power with 151 seats  right before the election to  TWO seats.     The new reform party must have took lots of votes away from them but TWO seats.

I was in Windsor yesterday I didn't see any sign of an election.  If the conservatives don't get a majority how long do you think it will be before a new election.
