Brilliant. Cruz stakes out a position that is popular with the majority of Americans (and could potentially dent his general election image as an intransigent ideologue), and Rubio is dumb enough to highlight this "weakness" in a futile attempt to convince Cruz's base of his alleged heresy.

Seriously.  I hope Rubio tries attacking Cruz with this during a debate.  He would get destroyed.
