Populism isn't an ideology, it's a rhetorical style. I don't know who beaver or aelrose are, but L.D. Smith is more or less a liberal, Miles a conservative, Tim Turner doesn't seem like anything that be described as having self-awareness, Hifly is very obviously a social nationalist, and turkisblau a progressive conservative ala Henry Wallace. Nothing unites these people
As long as Populist is also used as a placeholder term for the position that opposes/complements Libertarianism/Classical Liberalism...that's how I'll use it. Not to mention The Populist Party of the 1890's took positions a bit like this (along with the other use of a mere anti-elitist position)
But for appeasement sake, I've changed the title here to "Best Statist" (can't do that for the polls).
Also, from all the posts I've read from all them, they all have advocated greatly for heavy regulation socially and fiscally instead of one (the usual conservative favors social regulation, the usual commie or liberal ends to favor economic) or hardly any. But this is the mere basis, the actual execution and emphases are going to entirely different.
You included yourself in this poll.
I fit the formerly quite tiny criteria of + social, - fiscal on all these litmus tests which is the basis for this poll, of course I'm gonna include myself.
If I were doing this for Mormons (far as I know it's just two), would you insist I exclude myself on that too?
I voted for someone else for the record.
@Mung Beans: You're too far left socially for this specific criteria, but that's okay, you're a pretty cool dude.
