Terrible. All of the Russian leaders were trash after Kerensky until Gorbachev, and those two were only tolerable in comparison.
Defending Kerensky is not a hill you want to die on.
I can't argue with you there, but he was better than Stalin or Trostky, surely? He refused to support the White Army when he easily could have.
Being better than Stalin or Trotsky isn't exactly something that could be described as difficult. Don't also forget that he refused to remove Russia from the war when he easily could have, even the power hungry butcher of the revolution Lenin knew better than that.
