Rockefeller: Promoted the Rockefeller drug laws which saw lengthy 10-20 year prison sentences for mere possession of illicit drugs, heavy-handed and brutal crackdown of the Attica uprising. Came from a wealthy family but did I think did a pretty good job for those who were not wealthy.
Wallace: Was a segregationist and famously blocked the doors to a university after the feds desegregated the system. Did modernized Alabama and later did a 180 and denounced his earlier support for segregation. Helped build up the educational system of Alabama.
